Powell says that inflation is transitory and not to worry, and every time he says that republicans and joe manchin get pissed and threaten not to do joe biden's deal that risks the odds that joe biden doesn't end up getting re-elected if he doesn't get his deal done Now, all of a sudden, joe biden meets with jerome powell, the chairperson of the federal reserve on november 5th, suggesting that he's considering somebody else for jerome's job but doesn't end up picking. Somebody else ends up approving jerome powell just 17 days later, and then they have a joint press conference together as if they're buddies. Now all of a sudden jerome powell comes out almost as if he was convinced by somebody and says you know what i was wrong.
Inflation's not transitory anymore, it's time to retire that word and inflation is actually bad and we have to taper sooner really, that's the opposite of what the european central bank says. They don't think we're going to see inflation in 18 months now. I'm not sure i can trust jerome powell's flip-flopping anymore. What about you?.
