I think twitter would be dumb to reject the offer, I think twitter screwed Elon, though he made himself such an easy target. Reading the whole situation it seems that Elon buys 5% of twitter to get a place on the board, then the board goes okay, but don't buy more stock. Then Elon's like fuck you, I will BUY THE WHOLE COMPANY! The board goes, you can't do that and Elon's like "WATCH ME" and then he's like "I INTEND TO BUY TWITTER AND I WANT THE DEAL DONE BY SEPTEMBER. Twitters like: okay. And from hear is where the screwing starts because twitter knows its a bit of a lemon, but this is a huge opportunity for the board to get paid so they aren't going to let Elon back out. Its like Twitter forced this deal to take place and now is trying to effectively claim post nut clarity as a legal defence.

From what I've seen of the Twitter v Musk case it seems Musk had little choice but to buy at the original offer. Honestly, I think this is going to hurt Musk and really he only has himself to blame.
That was a quite shitty analogy to be honest. There is a statistically calculated sizes of random samples to get representation of the whole population with certain probability. No one checks all the users/details/products to check that they are all fine. They check a sample and proceed with something like "based on this sample size with 98% probability we expect all items to be fine".
