the problem with Jeremy Grantham is that he is legendary for calling the sky to fall for so long he actually hasn't made any money for his shareholders. He tried to sell GMO many times, no one wants to buy it. So he may be smart and he may be right but it really means diddly. You and I can say same thing but it also does no matter.
The restriction on NVIDIA is not unusual. There has been a long list of countries and and equally long list of computer technology not allowed to be sold to those countries. At one stage India was on the naughty list because they refused to sign nuclear non-proliferation treaty. Could work in Nvidias favourite because it highlights their tech is special.
Lmao it's not that the Fed is "feeling insecure," by sounding the alarm. The Fed is trying to control inflation expectations. And the 5-year breakeven inflation rate just dropped back down to 2.5% according to FRED (It was 3.6% in March and 2.8% in August). The Fed wants the inflation expectation to stay glued to 2.5%.
