Asset prices ALWAYS fall when interest rates go up. Such declines are less if demad destructions occur. Here in Phoenix so far real estate has been affected only at the margin. Thjs is not 2008.

I'm seeing homes lowering prices after 2 weeks on the market in the bay area. Dropping 50k to 150k. I still can't afford anything, but I'm hoping that they drop average prices about 200k, then I can finally move out of my room rental and into my own space.
These prices are ridiculous but I honestly don’t see a big “crash” happening. Maybe in some areas. I think it’ll dip a bit and level out. There are still bidding wars going well over asking price and a lot of people submitting rental apps for these absurd prices and going quick. Maybe it’s just in my area but it’s crazy.
April 2021, refinanced my loan at 2.5% my payments with tax insurance is just over 700, 2100 Sq foot 2miles from Colorado River AZ 11 miles from needles ca.😎

The housing market is in need of a correction, looks like it's getting a crash instead. Expect bankruptcy filings later this year.
HELOC can be recalled just as a credit card. When housing market crash the banks will cut and LOCs so unfortunately that money isn't sitting there when you feel you need it.

Everyone knows realestate is dead went to open houses just to check here in the Bay Area they are virtually a ghost town compared to last year. Feel for those who bought off of Fomo 6-12 months ago. Price drops of 50-100k are all over the place this is just the start. Because funny thing is when those who were still interred in buying start to see weakness it makes them pull back and say hmm maybe they will drop another 100k and so on. This is going to get ugly fast
whoa 2 views when i saw this. im hoping i can become a home owner this year. my apartment lease in MA ends in November 2022 and I keep getting outbidded even bidding 5% over listing. I refuse to do 20-25% over listing like how some people are doing near me for a house/condo that is ~850 sq ft, 2 BR, 1900 built home for 500k. Hopefully California isnt this bad!

I encourage sellers to hold off. Sure you may not get as much as today…but it will equal itself out to whatever you want to buy. With such turmoil, taking risks is super risky!!!

When interest rates go up prices go down. When interest rates go down prices go up. Buy real estate in whatever market, Don't try to time it. I'm sure you have heard that before.

Good I hope the Real Estate market crash 💥 so many homes are overvalued taking advantage of people. And I hope Realtors who got PPP loans go to jail they profit from the markets and getting PPP loans and it was forgiven
