So, over the past few weeks i watched my neighbor drive around in a tesla model 3.. This is a guy who used to own a vw ever since i known him for the past six years, so very curious to hear about his experience. But we didn't have a chance to talk for a few weeks until just a few moments ago. Just had a minute and we talked - and i just asked him straight up - hey: how do you like that tesla model 3 and his answer blew me away.

He said you know what tom i'm never switching again, once you drive a tesla, there's absolutely no chance that i'll ever drive a non-tesla ever again in my life, and he said i can't explain it something about it: the software, the user experience everything about it is, Unlike any other car, i've ever driven now that's an indicator from one person. That's not empirical evidence of tesla market share or anything of that sort. It's just an interesting story, but i'm sure there's a lot of people in the world who share this opinion. My partner and the compadre to money talks justin, oh used to own a model x.

He switched over to honda pilot and his cursing the day he made that decision waiting for his new model x. So i heard this before now when you think about tesla as just a car company. Let's not talk about anything else beyond just the vehicles, it's going to be really hard for the other manufacturers to compete, there's a reason why tesla is holding about 70 percent of the us ev market and the only reason it's not holding more of the european evmarket Is because they just can't make enough of them. So don't mistake yourself about europe.

If tesla could produce more cars, they would have had 70 of europe as well, and but the thing is that it's very hard for an auto manufacturer to compete with tesla for a multitude of reasons. For once - and you all know this - these manufacturers have to keep putting on capex resources and their entire operational might into their ice division, they're still making internal combustion engine cars and will be making it for at least 10 more years. So it takes away from their ability to compete, they're only running about 45. You know 50 capacity, while tesla is printing.

That's number one now number two is something that if you own a tesla, you know the supercharger network, there's nothing like it and as a tesla owner being a part of that ecosystem really makes your life easy, because, with an ev, the number one concern for a Novice first time, ev user, in my opinion, is where the hell do i charge this car i mean. Do i need to set up a charger at home? What, if i have to take a long trip? I mean this is a headache. I don't want a headache. I'd rather just drive a ice car, and i had friends who said that before by the way, i have a friend who drives a bmw and he owned an electric vehicle before not a tesla, and that's why he doesn't own an electric vehicle anymore, because he felt Like it was a whole project dealing with the eevee aspect of charging now with tesla, you don't have that with the supercharger network.
Absolutely it's like a gas station. It's everywhere! It's convenient! It's fast! You go in. You grab some pepsi or coke, some fries and in 10 minutes you're out back in the car on your merry way, simple, as that, no other eevee manufacturer can offer you this infrastructure, because none of them have the resources and capacity to invest in developing 35 000 Charging stations in the us, it's just impossible for them to do that, and as tesla gets a head in the head in this game, it just seems very likely that audi or bmw or vw or whoever w is going to have the capacity to put in this Infrastructure, the capex is going to be and say they just don't have the money they're in deep debt. They just can't afford it now.

Tesla don't mind the fact that they don't have a debt and they're cash flow, positive they're, generating 80 billion dollars a year close to 80 billion a year in revenue, and they have the best margin in the business i mean tesla is just getting warmed up right Now, as it stands like who's, the king of the auto industry, global auto industry, obviously it's toyota toyota make the most amount of cars. They invest the most amount of r d per car, so toyota is the king. Tesla has better margins operating margins gross margins. Then toyota, better ebitda margins in toyota, toyota makes 10 million cars a year.

That's what makes one million car per year! Imagine what happens when tesla ramps up. So i know there's a lot of erosion. That's going to come in the market share of tesla as more evs step into the market, but then again the entire market share of evs versus ice cars is going to expand exponentially as well. So it's not going to matter now.

If you start adding layers to that as far as fsd as far as the cyber track as far as the same eye as far as the energy business, as far as the futuristic stuff they're working on ai, i think there's a case to be made here that Tesla is just getting warmed up and i think we haven't seen just nothing yet as far as what tesla can bring to the table now i don't know if we ever make a dave lee type of money. Again, probably not it's not going to go. A thousand percent, but i definitely think that there's a lot of upside to be made in tesla at least fifteen hundred dollars per share in the next 12 to 18 months. And then, who knows if the energy business pops, if fsd actually becomes operational and they manage to charge 200 bucks a pop with 80 margin? So i don't see anybody catching tesla, it's not me fanboying over the stock or the company.

It's just me being realistic. Who's. Gon na catch them, i mean i'm sure classic oems will sell evs and sell a lot of them, but anybody catching tesla at this point, they're literally the only company at scale - that's uh, going 100 percent all in on electric equals. But then again, who knows you know, as always, my opinion might be wrong, might be inaccurate, it might be the reminisce of a madman, you know, do your own research and uh, you know uh just make sure you don't feed into the fud, see you in the Next, video.

Tesla could go to 1000% again if it becomes the most Short Sold company in the history of the Mankind again. They still hurting over that 9 month long Short Squeeze

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sounds Light says:

Tesla and other EV are colleagues: market is big enough, no competition. EV is competing with losing ICE – simple!

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Grzegorz Golen says:

Definitely mad man – your opinions are more and more wishful thinking as to Tesla and as to Palantir. You started to ignore market and reality.

Tom, your neighbor nailed it. I have had my Model Y Performance since February 2022. The car and experience have exceeded my expectations in every detail. I like the car even more than I thought that I would. I also own a 2020 BMW X3 and it is a fine driving and luxurious vehicle. But it's not a Tesla. I have had no issues with fit and finish and my experiences with Tesla Mobile Service have been great. Having the "gas station" at my house is awesome!" I have used a Supercharger one time and that was just to learn about the experience. BTW, it was really good, I also have two Powerwalls in my garage to harness the energy of my solar panels and power my home at night. The peace of mind they provide is priceless. That they can power my home during a power outage is wonderful. We have experienced four power outages in the last six months (PG&E sucks!), and I didn't know until after one of many jealous neighbors asked me "Why do your lights stay on when ours go off?." Like your neighbor, I will always own Tesla products. Unlike your neighbor and most "Greenies", I will probably also own an ICE vehicle too because of uncertainties with the grid. Also, I am not a Greenie. More importantly, what you said today, and many times before, Tesla is just getting started. There is plenty of "Dave Lee Money" yet to be made, Folks that can stomach the volatility stand to make serious upside returns and generational wealth from their investment in the company.

I'm hooked on my tesla as well. It's an aha moment when you get one. You realize you have been getting the wool pulled over your eyes your whole driving life and didn't even realize it. I can't believe all the questions I get about it. Most of the population has no idea about tesla….but they will soon.

Tom is WRONG again (as usual)!!! Tesla super charging stations are NOT everywhere!! Definitely a great vehicle to have in a metroplex. Hopefully they improve on mileage in the next few years.

I'm a die hard ICE enthusiast and love trucks with V8s but my wife recently got a Tesla and I'm pretty impressed with it. Its definitely one of my favorite vehicles to drive. From the user interface to the performance of the vehicle in general I have no complaints. I used to poke fun at Tesla but now I'm a believer. I'd still rather have an ICE vehicle for the sake of not having range anxiety. I carry 10 gallons of extra fuel in jerry cans in my truck, can't carry extra charge for emergencies in a Tesla.

Much like Apple its been almost 20 yrs and even with "competition" they are still the leaders! I and many like myself see a period of 20+ yrs where Tesla will be uncatchable after that they might have very few that will offer real resistance much like we have seen in the space race with Space X!

Tesla will never be something in Europe. Europeans buy less then 40k cars, shorter then 430cm, with good looking and quality interior. Nobody needs 3s 0-60 in Florence. Tesla is nothing of that. Europeans have a bad opinion about fiability of american cars in general and consider that a reliabile car have to be made in Germany or Japan, a beautiful car in Italy, a cheap good looking one in France.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Hulderson says:

Teslas save tour time. No more maintenance headaches. No more need for crazy sets of tools. Keep air in the tires, windshield wiper fluid full, swap the tires when worn, keep the vehicle clean. Easy

It is a comfortable truth . I’m driving a Tesla since 2013 . like your friend I will never drive another . They come to my house for service once a year. Model S and now model Y bring the fun back to driving . I charge at home from solar power ….. boom …. Waiting on the cyber truck, I’m sure it will be amazing .

It's a $50K electric car, it's a niche market, an electric Lexus. A nice fun car to drive, but so is a Lexus 350, or an Infiniti Q50. Tesla is a great idea and brand, but it's an exclusive market. As a stock, it's more glam then product. 4 tears ago Tesla was burning through cash, and they still are, and that's some fancy accounting engineering that they pull a profit.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Oliver Queen says:

Yeah I’m the same, Just bought Tesla last year. And nah I’m not switching on other car. It’s all about : nice screen like in iPhone, it’s not lagging, like others cars. And I’m really peaky about this, charging at home, and sometimes at supercharger. (Great experience, specially when you charge, watch some Netflix.) it’s safe for my dog. Because of a dog mode. Fast 💨 as fk… if you drive on a highway and need to change lanes, no problem. Insurance …. Damn it’s so convenient you pay from 50/100$ per month. And you can check all your driving and adjust. If you want to pay less. ( it’s making you a better driver) by the way all this payments going to one acc, and you don’t have to have a lot of logins and passwords to change something if you don’t like. It’s all in Tesla app. So yeah I don’t see anybody who is closely the same.

Tesla sales will grow every year for the next decade or two. So will EVs from the legacy automobile companies. The issue for them is that unless they can generate a higher margin on their EVs vs their ice they will loose $s on every sale vs ICE. Their EV sales will replace their ice sales. It's a zero sum game at best for them. It's better for them to sell their assets asap and invest in TSLA stock.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ricky D says:

I have a model Y. Love it. But need more space cause I have 3 kids. If I stay with tesla I have the following problem. Wait a year or more and have to drop 6 figures. Don't want to sell some of my 1500 shares to make a purchase. Look at a Toyota Sennia hybrid 😫. Cyber Truck is also even a longer wait

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Super 1337 says:

    We will see 🙂
What maybe is against Tesla, is when I comes to customer services after guarantee?
From what I hear it’s very expensive. Would be awesome if Tesla would be part of right to repair.
Will cost a dime revenue but in my eye it would benefit.
“Easy to drive, cheap to fill up and cheap/sustainable to service” 😀

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ben says:

The whole market is cooked. Buying anything at the moment is absolutely the wrong decision. Remember, lads, Tom makes cash regardless of whether or not you make profit from his bad advice. I'm yet to hear him be right in over 12 months of watching him.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Irothelegend1 says:

It reminds of the sentiment from consumers when the EV 1 was around people will love their EV’s.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andre J says:

The whole Toyota vs Tesla margin comparison is misleading since Toyota's cars are significantly more affordable than any Tesla out there.

Mr Tom, you are the best. Love your independent point of view. Whenever in SoCal, you gotta stop by for bbq in Long Beach.

I had the opportunity to drive one of the early vehicles, as I had a very rich and influential friend that paid upfront for his car and got one of the first cars off the assembly line. It was life changing. I love my Tesla Power Walls. I’m just waiting for my Honda to die.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matt says:

Elon is a clown and anyone buying it at 700 is a clown. Straight facts. Sorry for being so mean, but this is the truth. You’re buying it for 700? Just go burn your money dog. Other car companies will out beat them. Facts. You think too short term. You just said it bro. How is Tesla worth 700 if they are a car company, like you just said?? How? Toyota sells 10 million. Tesla sells 1 million. Your videos are becoming full of self contradictions that make you trip over your own words. Anyone with half a brain can tell Elon sells snake oil and you buy that hopium right up homie.
This is great since it’s not a technology company, right? It’s a car company. If it was a technology company then they should in theory be having a LOT more downside in this economy. So which one is it Elon musk fan boys? Can’t have both 😉😊
So you’re telling me that Tesla is worth it right now when they are JUST a car company. So this means Toyota should be just as much, in theory. I mean if it was technology, then you’re speculating on what it’s worth.
In this economy? Technology? Growth? Rising rates.
    That’s very laughable.
Sorry to make you look bad on your video, but I had to bro.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hugo Sousa says:

Hi Tom… You forgot one thing besides Toyota being the big company Tesla did MORE PROFIT THAN TOYOTA last quarter…. Soo…. Imagine the growth 😂😂😂

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Graham Oldfield says:

Simply look at resale value Tesla now hold their value unlike when they were unproven . Simple put I have a V8 and it will save me about $80-100 per week when I final get my tesla .

    Nailed it.
    Tesla is an entire ecosystem.
Tesla is not standing still, I can’t see others surpassing Tesla.
But, even if someone does? So what? The market is big enough to more than one player.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JAKE says:

Tesla is an awesome vehicle, their customer service is horrid. Starting with their vehicles to solar. I own two Teslas model Y and model S. i also have solar with Tesla, worst mistake ever. Supercharging stations have not been taken care of. Lots of broken chargers and sometimes when travelling I had to wait 3 hours to charge a vehicle. Musk better concentrate on the customer service and upkeep of charging stations. My neighbor just got rid of his 6 month old model Y just due the customer service issues.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ye Huvie says:

Is it real? If its is real, i will believe it. No bmw guy buys a tesla come on haha. That is like a porshe guy driving an audi.
