Bohen talks about using VWAP, or volume-weighted average price, a lot. Not familiar with it? Get to know it today. In short, it's a blend of the two biggest areas where we always focus — extreme volume and extreme price movement/volatility.

You've got software code pushing this stock, supporting the bid, and keeping it above VWAP. And then you've got short sellers on their toes. It all can create a near-perfect recipe for explosive movements at the market close.
The VWAP-hold is always an afternoon pattern! There’s so much noise at the market open. If you wait and focus on an afternoon setup, things tend to quiet down.
Run your scans to get that manageable number of potential VWAP plays. And get that confirmation move when a stock breaks the high of the day.
It won’t always work. Anything can happen in the markets. But you're trying to align as many factors in your favor while keeping it as simple as possible!

I don't think you showed any lines on the chart or how the volume and price are merged to show the levels. You just showed a stock chart where the price went up in the afternoon.

VWAP had me confused for a minute, but thanks to you and all the other Tim's, it's making sense. Just a note, I sure enjoyed your, blowing off steam yesterday. I'm into this for about 8 months and I see a lot of potential after doing some footwork. Giddy-up cowboy!
mmm, Came here from a link in a recent STT University post from Tim on the "Fresh Friday Squeezes" April 8, 2022.
Tim you love your VWAP patterns, just wish the STT platform would show the VWAP for older intraday so we can study those patterns better when reviewing.
It is April 20 today, and although I can see the intraday chart for the 8th of April, I cannot see the VWAP action.
This is a feature that should be on the platform, and one that I have eMailed STT Support several times over the last year, but always get told that it will be passed on to developers as a feature request.
Tim, YOU should ensure this happens as VWAP is one of your indicators you talk up so often, yet we cannot study its importance on anything older than the current day.
And even worse, when you go to review your weekly trades over the weekend, if you used the VWAP for your entrance/exit, you cannot see how it played out!
I am also a member of the Breaking News chat, and many people there feel the same.
Come on STT, make your awesome platform even better with this little tweak.

a few weeks ago, got re aquainted with vwap and accidentally noticed how vwap synced with a couple other indicators for trade confirmation…… recently got the trial of STT and put the vwap on the chart along with another indicator……am wondering how do I pick the best choices from the list when there are many to pick from? does it boil don to spike history and news catalysts , since they all have the other parameters built in?
