#shorts #tradingtips #positionsizing

The biggest reason we want to track position size is especially as a new Trader A big mistake. And let me know in the comments. if you made this mistake, uh, too big a size and you get too emotionally attached and what happens when you have too big a size, you see any green. Okay, you're up 50 bucks and you just take that profit because you know you got too big a size then vice versa And this is what being sized too big creates.

That trade goes against you. Now it's a losing trade. Now you got too big a size, you're emotionally attached and you won't stop out where you said you would. So say you buying some two dollar High a day break you said you were going to risk V Whap? At a buck 75 you got 3 000 shares instead of a thousand shares.

It falls back through a buck 75. You get emotional and you don't take the stop. That's where position sizing can bite against you. Biggest thing to do is keep that consistent position side as add to Winners and then cut your losers.

I have been trading for over 4 years now and once in a while I still find myself taking way too big of a size. It's like an old habit that's extremely hard to kick, especially when the emotions kick in. πŸ˜•

I have been oversized in positions before. I have sized way down to starter size of 0.5% risk of my account per trade and add as the trade works for me to full size.

My life right now smh I finally become consistent and found a method but every time I size up my position everything that Tim just said always happens to me. So just stay small size or the size that is comfortable for you until you get 10 times better consistency releases, dopamine trying to size up induces, fear and anxiety so play it safe

Absolutely, more often than I wish to admit.
