Hey everyone me kevin here in this video we're going to talk about my opinions about the biden presidency so far, we're going to talk about successes, failures, we're also going to talk about promises. Where do i think biden has made us promises that he hasn't kept? What promises has he kept as well, and what could he potentially do better? My goal is to come at this video, which is very difficult, not promising you that i could cover everything or cover everything exactly the way you wish. My goal is simply to provide you. My perspective and some of the most important things, but also suggestions to the biden administration, as somebody coming from an in the middle point of view.

That's my goal. Do keep in mind this video is sponsored by ftx medkevin.com ftx, but we'll talk more about them in a moment. First, i want to talk about buildback, better buildback. Better was biden's landmark plan to get massive investments into america, free preschool for three to four year olds.

An expansion of the child tax credit which would have provided instead of two thousand dollar tax credits per child. We would have gotten up to thirty six hundred dollars per child under six years old and three thousand dollars a per child under 18 years old and older than six. Obviously that so far, that extension has not happened because it's built into buildback better. We also expected a reduction of prescription drug costs.

These were massive campaign issues. We were expecting taxes to go up on those making more than 400 000. This was always the argument that the rich should pay their fair share right. We were expecting five percent taxes on incomes over 10 million dollars, so an additional five percent on that income above 10, mil with another three percent layered on for those making over 25 million dollars per year.

We're expecting affordable housing, more audits from the irs. We were expecting a lot from the buildback better plan, not everything that, of course, everyone agrees with, but it was a big landmark legislation that was expected to get passed. Of course, the house passed it, but the senate, especially with kirsten cinema and joe manchin, have blocked the build back better plan. See biden told us during the campaign that he wanted to be more bipartisan, that we would cut out some things that might be deemed a little bit further on the left to be able to reach across the aisle and get the right on board.

But so far he hasn't even been able to get democrats kirsten cinema or joe manchin on board and some of the reasons for that. Well, more free preschool, more child tax credit expansions and more essentially stimulus money going into the economy during an inflationary period of time. Not exactly what everyone wants right now, because the last thing we want is more inflation. So it's no surprise that on a may, 30th 2020 opinion editorial written by joe biden or his handlers and then signed off by him.

He completely dropped mention to the build back better plan as his way to fight inflation, because remember we were sold that the buildback better plan was not actually going to cost america money that it would actually make america money and therefore lower inflation. Well, then, why, in an opinion editorial article on may 30th, if that was true, would you not make a single reference to the build back better plan? It just seems disorganized, and it's not the kind of leadership that we want in this time we have a highly uncertain economic environment, and this is where i want to get to number two, which is why i'm going to start with powell and the leadership and inflationary Leadership, i honestly believe what we need right now is a leader that comes and stands in front of americans and says we might be going into a recession. You should save more money, you should save debt and by doing that, he'd actually be teaming up with jerome powell. Who's trying to get inflation down you'd actually have a president who's on the same side as powell saying you know what folks, when you spend a little less so that pricing power at companies comes down and we can actually lower inflation, even if that does mean we End up having a mild recession, it's better than going into a depression or having hyperinflation right and right now it feels like joe biden just isn't doing everything he can to really work with the fed or to lead americans.
We feel like we've got somebody asleep at the wheel and it leads to a lot of uncertainty, but now for a quick message from our sponsor today, you can go there by going to metkevin.com ftx ftx is a web app or mobile application that you could use To purchase cryptocurrencies and soon stocks and options coming very soon to the platform, it is an amazing platform because on their web app, they actually incorporate the trading view technical analysis suite, which is phenomenal, i'm a big fan of using tradingview, but i've always been frustrated that I can't trade directly in trading views, so it's kind of like i see my trades on trading view, but then i have to go into a different brokerage app to actually trade. That also begs the question: what would it have been like if we had donald trump instead of biden when dealing with russia and vladimir putin? Is it possible that trump would have been substantially more aggressive and actually prevented the incursion of russia into ukraine? It's entirely possible, but it's also possible that that kind of aggression could have more quickly led to a world war three right, so we have a lot of what ifs on. How would have trump acted versus biden, we'll, never know the answer to that.

Just like we don't know how trump would have acted with powell, we do know that when powell was raising interest rates in 2018, trump threatened to fire jerome powell, because it was softening the stock market softening the economy. This sort of weakness is what donald trump said during his uh presidency and during the 2020 elections that, if biden does not show, we would see a stock market crash and one of the big reasons we've seen a stock market crash. Now, in the last five to six months is because not only have we had the inflation of the original covert 1.0 wave, but then we have the september 2021 delta wave that propped up inflation again, because inflation was actually going down in the summer right before delta. Then we got omicron which pushed up inflation, but then the nail in the coffin for serious inflation has been the commodity and energy inflation caused by russia, ukraine, and so this is where there's a lot of speculation that had we had trump and a little bit more Aggressive posture, we maybe wouldn't have had the inflation that we have now anyway, we wouldn't have had to deal with this sort of posturing and talking about a recession because remember what we heard from joe biden during the campaign.

That quote, the kremlin must end aggression towards the ukraine, especially their aggression in eastern ukraine. He said that in august 2020, that was a campaign promise of joe biden that he would step in and make sure that the kremlin will end their aggression in ukraine. This was basically foreshadowing the war that started march or february 24th. 2022 biden was on it.

He just didn't do enough to prevent this from happening again. We don't know if it could have been prevented, but the lack of leadership that we're seeing now on the economy is, in my opinion, kind of what we're also seeing in ukraine. But it's also because joe biden mentioned hey. You know what we're gon na send uh missiles to the eastern region of ukraine to help them defend the eastern region of ukraine, and then vladimir putin and russia come out and make a statement and say you know what, if we you do, that it's world war, Three, and so what does biden do never mind? We won't send missiles and then, of course, biden comes back and he does say in fairness well as long as ukraine promises to only use them for defense and not to launch missiles into russia.
Well then, in that case, okay, we'll send some missiles, so we end up doing them. We have the same problem with the migs we're first, oh yeah united states is going to send migs to help ukraine control their airspace and fight against russia. What happens? Russia waves? Their saber and joe biden says yeah, never mind. Maybe we'll give him to poland and poland maybe try to get him over there or whatever.

It's just a disaster. We're sending a lot of mixed signals with our leadership, and so the biggest thing i could recommend to the biden. Admin is please a little bit more leadership. Even if it's tough talk, even if you got to get up there and go folks, we might be heading into our session.

Here's how you need to prepare yourself and here's how we're going to get through this together, whether it's easy or hard we're going to get through it together right! That's what we need! We don't need more of the political posturing anyway, let's now yeah, like big one, that really frustrates me is that the inflation is only because of putin. Well again, maybe more leadership could have prevented that, and this is a big thing. Biden keeps talking about well, inflation's. Only because of putin, it's putin's inflation.

No, there are a lot of things that caused inflation, including the american rescue plan, but we'll talk about that in just a moment all right. So let's talk some broken promises and then i promise we're also going to get to some kep promises. I'm not trying to just be negative here trying to it's supposed to be, like you know, critical, but uh, hopefully providing some value. If the biden administration would just listen, okay, first of all, what bothered me is during the campaign.

Biden was really big on. Oh we're, gon na ban fracking on federal land. Yet what happened right before easter, when all the media outlets were getting ready to go on vacation everybody's taking off for easter? What happened? They had issued a bunch of new leases on federal land to frack and drill right before easter, to sort of bury that news and totally u-turn on that campaign, promise oops what happened to student debt. Well, we got a cancellation of student debt for corinthian colleges, but beyond that we still have 40 and that's about 500 000 students, but we have 44.7 students with student loans like it or not.

We were told we were going to get 10 000 of student debt relief still hasn't happened for at least 44 million individuals. We were expecting some form of marijuana legalization. I don't think biden's mentioned the word marijuana once since the campaign of 2020. kind of sad.

So we haven't seen that we haven't really seen any kind of police reform from biden. We haven't seen the 15 million minute 15 dollar minimum wage, and if any of this, by the way frustrates you folks life insurance. Okay, you can get life insurance in as little as five minutes in the link in the description down below by going to medkevin.com life all right, but we also heard from biden that we're going to denuke north korea and work with allies on this, like no progress On this at all, if anything they're doing more missile tests, we were promised two years of community college for free, didn't get that we talked about the jets in ukraine. We talked about the missiles.
We also had a little blunder where biden was talking about supporting taiwan with the with our military against china, which it seems like he makes these statements. Oh yeah we're going to support taiwan with our military and then, of course, within 10 minutes. After his speech is over, the white house comes out, the handlers come out and they start issuing corrective statements. Saying things like oh well, we mean we are going to support them with arms like if they need to fight china, we'll supply them with weapons all right whatever.

But again it's just like this sort of lack of leadership is like who's actually running the ship. At the white house, it's not kind of how it should be coming across anyway november 2021. It's worth noting that the united states is under the biden administration. We had two million encounters with illegal immigrants, including 125 000 undocumented minors.

This is four to five times the level of encounters that we had under the trump administration. Why is this? Well, nobody exactly knows, but we believe it's because of biden's promise that he would issue amnesty for 11 million, undocumented individuals leading to these reports of caravans coming up to the united states, the border wall, whatever 40 percent of individuals by the way get into the united States simply by overstaying their visa, so they come in legally under like a vacation visa and they just overstay it and they're in but anyway that amnesty is being suggested as oh well under biden. Let's go, let's get in america. Maybe we'll get that amnesty, although we haven't heard much to talk about that anyway anyway, now these are some of the broken promises, and these these are frustrating now, there's still time left, but really biden needs more bipartisanship he's got to figure out.

How can he get republican support, mansion and cinema the democrats on board, so we can actually get things passed, maybe, for example, on buildback better. Maybe we cut out some of the things that are more inflationary. Maybe we cut out the the free preschool and the child tax credit, but we do focus on drugs. We do focus on some tax taxation and housing and audits and policing.

You know some things that maybe both sides can agree on. You know what throw in some neutral gun legislation in there as well. That is something more bipartisan, something that 80 of individuals are going to be okay with and, of course, you're always going to upset the far right 10 and the far left ten percent. That's just the way politics works, but this whole like biden's just wanting to appeal to the forty percent on the left, uh that that are still supporting biden.
It's just not working nothing's getting done. So what are some successes? Well, we rejoined the paris climate accord. Okay. Well, big deal i mean that doesn't take much effort.

We rejoined the world health organization. Okay, big deal doesn't take much effort at all this right here, the american rescue plan. This was our last large stimulus package. This was you know, probably inflationary 1400 stimulus checks.

Remember with donald trump 600: this was what biden pitched as the two thousand dollar stemi checks, so we got 14 over here we got the first round of the child tax credit. We got business support. We got a lot of things over here: okay, uh, but again, possibly inflationary. Most of the other stuff has unfortunately stalled uh.

He did reverse, which is unfortunate, but i'm leaving it over here in green because there's still hope, but i think by midterms. If democrats get reemed, which is the expectation right now, we're probably gon na get nothing done for the next two and a half years kind of sucks, but anyway uh he did reverse the separating of children and their families from the border uh when undocumented individuals come Here, which i i found that actually a very good thing, he also did increase the refugees that they're enabling to bring to the united states or who are allowed to come into the united states. 125. 000 refugee cap versus trump's, 15.

000. Personally, i think whether if and this is just my opinion, so i want to make that very clear. Personally, i think our immigration policies need to need substantial reform if people are willing and able to work in the united states and they're willing and able to provide value for a company and a company is willing and able to say we'll hire you we'll house, you We'll support you or whatever, because there are so many job openings right now let people come into america. Let them come here and work, you know, for example, i've got really great relationships with people who are citizens of other countries, and i already have a business working relationship with them, but i can't bring them in here, because america wants us to hire american workers.

Well, it's hard because there aren't that many available right now and you don't have that pre-existing relationship with other people that you might know in other areas. So personally, i think there should be better ways to bring in people from other countries who are willing and able to work and who are not going to suck up our resources sitting on social safety net programs. Because if a business says hey i'm going to give them a job, i'm going to provide them with housing or whatever there you go, they're contributing to gdp they're, helping, not hurting. Just my take on immigration, a lot of work to do there, though i'll make sure to check in the comments to see what your thoughts about this are, but uh last thing here that also frustrates me on a couple other quotes.
Is that uh? He really has been sort of a union mouthpiece for uh, well, unions like ford and gm, not such a big advocate, unfortunately, of tesla. It's really hard to get him to talk about tesla and when he does he kind of bags on tesla for either laying off salaried workers, even though they're increasing factory workers just refining their business uh, for example. This morning he wished tesla luck on getting to the moon on their mission, to the moon, so to speak and uh. This is ironic because the biden administration and nasa gave that contract to spacex, which obviously elon musk, is the ceo of so some ironies there.

I think it's really just biden trying to be a union mouthpiece and really playing into that career politician aspect kind of frustrating anyway, some things over here again, we were promised by partisanship. We didn't really get that he did say. I will shut down the virus, not the economy. He said that on october 20th.

I think a lot of us unfortunately would disagree with this right now and don't even get me started on this one. I made a lot of videos on this one when it happened. Uh biden told us, of course, that there would be no hasty exit, no helicopter evacuation of individuals in afghanistan and uh. I i don't think i need to get into what happened in afghanistan.

We know that's, ultimately exactly what happened, and now the taliban are in control. Quite unfortunate, but anyway folks thank you to the sponsor today, metkevin.com ftx. These are my thoughts again big recommendation for the biden administration. Please please step up the leadership because it's causing problems in our country again.

My goal here is just to represent the voice of those in the middle. If you're frustrated with me leave a comment, if you're supportive of this also, please leave a comment to weigh out the negative ones: paul's political videos a little tougher anyway, thanks for watching see in the next one, bye.
