i commented from tom last video about RIVN is Hype stock like LCID. its crazy how wallstreet and retail traders hyping these stocks like the new TSLA. yes it has potential. but remember what elon musk said. running a car company is hard rather than running space X. tsla almost went to bankrupt on the process of while producing car. like i said from toms previous video about RIVN. the only saving grace of RIVIAN is their big investors like Ford and AMZN. unless some other big investors steps in and support RIVN through and through about their missions.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lets Invest - with Rob Collins says:

And while Rivian and Lucid fill the reddit posts, poor old Hyliion with an actual product and infrastructure are bing ignored ☺️. Im happy when idiot retail investors don’t pay attention to good companies because they just sell at the first sign of profit. There’s no patience anymore with investors. Just wanna make that quick buck and quit their jobsπŸ˜‚. At least people who comment on your videos Tom understand how it is that’s why I listen to you mostly. Keep it up

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars joe michele says:

0r Unless they wanna drive RIVIAN Down to buy it on the Cheap down the road …But I Doubt That …………..

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars HK Chan says:

People hype up Rivian and Lucod because they are angry at themselves for missing Tesla and are still refusing to buy Tesla at current price.

They are going to sink for their mistake

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Aguilar says:

Rivian will be fine. Yes the valuation is crazy bubble like and should see a healthy correction but not because the company is bad. They will be a strong player in the future. Same exact thing with Lucid motors. I personally should out of my position on lucid at 52 yes I left money on the table and might climb to 65 before it drops. Will re buy when it corrects love lucid. Also could be totally wrong and these stocks just blow up like Tesla but not willing to take such unhealthy risk with big money.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric R says:

Amazon and Ford were given more shares when the IPO hit and they can sell those on the open market. Amazon is making a grab for control and I think ford sold what they could already. Ford might also be planning to sell to Amazon once the lockup is gone. Amazon wants control because they want Vans first and consumer vehicles only when there is excess capacity

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Clark says:

    Now Now Tom.
GM not give any finance to Nokola, not even if the deal was completed. GM were to be awarded (paid) 2 million of shares for the deal.
Now I not looked it up but was not that featured in one.of your reports, if it wasnot it should have been.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ham plus6 says:

I bought put while it was going up. I kept buying put. The next few weeks will most likely print. I'll take profit and double down in more put till next year.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Roger Harrington says:

I just don't think Amazon would let Rivian go out of business. Bezos would buy it just to compete with Tesla. Plus they need Rivian to build their vans.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter P says:

Dude, Ford will go bankrupt before Revian.
As of right now every EV company on the market is overvalued, that includes Tesla. Ford stock is worth less than 0 as of right now, huge debt, and a lot of ICE vehicles in the pipeline that soon will be worthless. Maybe Revian cut off Ford, and they don't want to do business with them, it's just Ford beat Revian to the punch to release that information to the public. Revian have a plenty of big money investors, including Amazon.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JB Nitpou says:

Not everyone has the intelligence and abnegation of Elon Musk, that’s the problem for the competition

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! harry woods says:

    Just a thought, Rivian doesn’t need β€œ FORD β€œ .
If they can figure out battery logistics They will be fine πŸ€”

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin Woods says:

Tom, I think you are wrong. Ford now realise their F150 electric truck is going to sell like hot cakes; and they need to double down on making as many as they can – because every one they build will sell – just like the cybertruck. Rivian have a great product with the RIT & R1S and they too will sell as many as they can make going forward. So their is no need for a partnership joint vehicle. Both companies need to ramp as fast as they can to sell as many as they can. Demand for EVs is exploding exponentially as can be seen by the long wait times for Tesla vehicles.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Patrick Burke says:

Tom your changing your format. I had to watch the whole clip to get to the point. LOL

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Francisca says:

Hey Tom! Great videos. I've learn a lot from them πŸ™‚
I was wondering what do you think of Booking. It seems really nice but I'd like to hear a professional's opinion πŸ˜‰

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric says:

IMO a stocks value is if you can make a profit trading it, if a stock goes up $20 in a day and I make money on it I could care less how many trucks they have sold or will sell in 2 years. Will Rivian's stock price go down? Of course there will be a lot of volatility but thousands of traders will make a lot of money trading Rivian stock. Also Ford has a history of making some great ICE cars but since when are they good at the stock market and finance?

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Top Hat says:

Ford probably has their own battery chemistry.. and they have the chassis.. so rivian is not needed.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Edwards says:

I have a position in ELMS (small). They are at least producing something and I like their management team. Also did some engineering support at the Lucid plant in AZ. They are close to getting product lines running and expanding. They just had a hiring event, as well. No position in Lucid. No abundance of product rolling off the line, or on the roads. Long way to go from test vehicles (see them running at site- cool car) to selling the commodity to the general public. I'm pulling for them. I would not own one at 78-100K price though. But, I'm cheap and won't spend that much on a car. (Rather put it into PLTR….LOL)

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LowLip McGee says:

Wrong. Rivian wasnt a SPAC bro… it was a traditional IPO. I dont think there is any lockup time frame

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BK says:

Tom, I am not so sure. Rivian currently has almost nothing on its books, so how bad can it get when you have a base of almost 0. Imho, its more important for Ford to nurse the RIVN share for 6 months.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dustin Denton says:

Ford going to lose there investment most likely and it's probably the best outcome
    From a bad situation

And for the ones that think that amazon is going to save them
    Not going to happen

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Strutingeagle says:

Ford has to get the ball rolling with their own fleet. They can sell out and use the money to expand and hope their stock price goes up.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hubert says:

Speculation! Tesla cyber truck is hype. Where is it? Haha! Rivian trucks will suit Asian markets. Toyota hilux sells like hot cakes in this part of the world, literally a two year waiting list prior to covid, it would be more now, hence why Ford made the ranger to get in on it.
Have you also thought that Ford maybe have a deal on there new trucks with VW. They have this relationship on the new Ford Ranger and VW Amarok trucks? so possible they want to expand that.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Youtubers Behaving Badly says:

Day 5 of asking for a Wish follow up. Please Tom I went balls deep and have been here since 30k subs 😘

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MSIContent says:

Nice catch. I totally agree with the logic. Get out early so you can’t be blamed for the crash in value, or accused of only keeping the deal alive until you can sell out at a decent price and THEN kill the deal. Surprisingly strategic! (Looking at you β€œIndustry leader” Mary)

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bilgyno1 says:

Alternatively, they might just want to get this news over and done with right now, so they can sell their shares as soon as the lock up expires and avoid any insider trading accusations. With the current stock price, this likely will not have a big influence anyway.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Unicornul Sarvy says:

wont be surprized if ford and amazon sell the rivian stock just like toyota and mercedes did with tesla stock

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars YourMath ClassTeacher says:

Appreciate those thoughts Tom. But what if Rivian's head started getting too big it's shoulders (because they have something amazing going on), and began giving the impression that they demanded/wanted more. So, Ford (Jim) wasn't interested in the possible future personality conflicts, and wanted to put out now. But like Tesla, and Elon's strong personality, Rivian really does have something amazing going – and will pull it off without Ford? (Or worst case scenario, they have to fold and Tesla aquireds Rivian to add to their empire, and reduce direct competition a little longer. *I just pulled that idea out of the sky.)

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Wildridge says:

Valuation higher than a 100 year old car company. Who needs all that experience of production, sales, and everything in between? Lol. That's what the market is trying to say. Ford may have to turn their ship a little faster in regards to EVs being the future is now but they do have the ability…the know how. I think Rivian has to have this partnership…not with my money.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Electric Eye says:

I think they need to focus on the Electric Ford F-150 and Sandy Monro has said likewise

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G.Trahan says:

GO BLUE WTF?!?! You seen what BLUE DID TO THIS COUNTRY!!! I use to be blue until BIDEN HE SCREWED US ALL!!!! What in the hell is wrong with you!!!!!!!!!!!

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Investing says:

Tom, I really appreciate these quick update insights. One thing you ALWAYS need to mention when wrapping up any discussion involving EVs. autos, or batteries is to remember and close with "the next tesla is still tesla AND the next elon musk is still elon musk"

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Godot says:

This is why I avoided Rivian and sold out of Lucid near its current price. As companies, both have great potential but as stocks, they're currently untouchable (not in a good way)
