I would think that the Fed realizes they are at the end and will soon be fired. Their massive ponzi has pissed off a ton of people and that number will increase as the people realize they are the enemy to the people. Debt is terrible and they are the leaders of it. Their wealthy friends will lose their friends. They will have to answer to God on judgement day and that may not go so well for them for eternity.
Voter fraud is a design feature of our voting system not so much a problem with it per say.

Its unrealistic to say the govt may default on debt. Worst case scenario, they will print/monetize the debt either directly or indirectly and we will keep paying for it through inflation.

I dont think the FED is doing that bad of a job, considering we are still the largest growing economy of the world despite everything. Would you rather wipe out the FED in name of an experiment, only to discover the FED was the thing keeping this economy going?. I rather a bunch of knowledgeable PhDs running the economy than a populist politician that barely knows how to give a speech calling the shots on what to do with the economy, and that direction changing every time there is a change in the white house. Dont try to fix what is not broken.
How about something like fiat backed by energy storage lets say instead of ounces of gold it would be KWh? Because what if the future everything runs in electricity instead of oil?
