Elon Musk is the best CEO in the nation at the moment, but this company is severely exposed in it’s Chinese asset. the Communists are likely to seize the entirety of the plant there.
In 1908, Ford was the only company able to mass-produce vehicles and sell them to consumers at a reasonable cost. But as time went on, new car manufacturers emerged and succeeded in stealing sales from Ford. This is what's going on with EV right now. Tesla was the only game in town for a while, but new EV companies have emerged, and legacy auto manufacturers are putting EVs out there that I would pick over a Tesla (I am a huge fan of Tesla). My point: Tesla will not be able to sustain growth; competition is catching up. Especially If Elon doesn't update the design. Model S pretty much looks the same as it did a decade ago.
not sure where you get so much pessimism from the earning call. Elon sounded much more optimistic about near future.
The greatest threat to Tesla is Elon Musk.

Growth rates:
2022 – 48% to 51% production growth, 65% revenue growth and 100% EPS growth.
2023 – 65% production growth, 75% revenue growth, 130% EPS growth.
2024 -2026 More of the same.
100% CAGR on EPS for four years or so leaves AAPL and Aramco in Tesla's dust.
Don't believe it? That's fine. Sit on the sidelines or short the stock.

Somehow Kevin went into this and came out with a completely different read on the situation. I mean, yes, there were issues related to commodity prices. But really it was mostly the ramp that affected the gross margin and foreign exchange. Without the Giga Berlin and Austin ramp, they would have been at 30% gross margin. Kevin for some reason is so obsessed with creating FUD that he just straight up edits out huge swaths of what's said to make up his own narrative.
It's one thing to decide to believe or not believe a company's statements, but it's another thing altogether to act as though the company said something else altogether.
Didn't he said that once tesla stating doing buybacks that will be the end of Tesla. Meaning they can't improve anymore

I think you are misunderstanding. I think the reason they may not reach 50% growth this year is because of issues of the past like Shanghai lockdown not Q4 he sounds really optimistic about Q4

You do a great job differentiating the long term vs. short term and what it means as an investor. Good work Kevin!
Most people think that investing in stock/crypto is buying and holding until it rises, after the recent crash and recession, the best investment you can make right now is to invest in Forextrading and Crypto Futures, although stocks and cryptocurrencies are good, but ever since I swapped to Forextrading and futures trading I have seen so much difference.

Many people see a car company, long term investor see a technology company.
You gotta start factoring Semi and energy storage into your models. Semi alone could be generating 3-4B a quarter in revenue once ramped in 12-18 month. 50,000 semis per year is some serious volume.
