Yeah people view elliot waves as a holy grail. I feel like it’s only worth it to use Elliot waves in your analysis if you’re trading bitcoin in my opinion. All it does is try to measure and predict trader psychology.
I personally just use SR, RSI, and MAs, for patterns just triangles, cup and handle, head and shoulders. I tend to go with the most obvious and just trade those.

Elder's Force Index is an indicator created by Alexander Elder and presented in his book Trading for a Living. Although I don't use it, it supposedly has meaning behind it and is a popular indicator because his book is a best seller. Not sure if I would recommend it but it's a book many people have read so I wouldn't describe the indicator as "weird", and I'm actually surprised you don't know it because that book has been my introduction to trading literature apart from the internet.
When do you withdraw from your account?
I have to agree with you Rayner. Because, to me, trading is complicated enough in it's own self and the last thing I want is more tools with tons of information that my mind can't bear to absorb without losing the historical foundations of trading. It's so important that we balance objectivity/logic and subjectivity/ideas, especially because trading has a concrete, practical element to it. It's not all totally idealistic because there's physically measurable aspects to trading, therefore making it practically real. So I think it's unwise and catastrophically ddangerous to try and become some new creative genius with it. Unless the old ideas somehow begin to fail measurably, then that's the time to change and experiment with new ideas.
