The 2022 stock market crash just got worse as new CPI data for September got published.
Inflation went up again in September despite ongoing calls from business leaders on social media that inflation is gone and the Federal Reserve should stop increasing rates.
While energy costs dropped, other parts of the index continue looking bad and this is a cause for concern for the upcoming winter months.
The market crashed 3% immediately after the data came out after already falling heavily in the last 3 weeks.

Please address base effect and annualize monthly rates in your video. This video feels highly misleading honestly.
YOY numbers are bad because of the base effect. MOM numbers annualized are low.

If the local gym instructor goes from having 100 clients to 80 clients does he now reduce prices?
If the local law firm now has fewer hosuign transactions to deal with do they lower prices?
If the plumber goes from worming 6 jobs a day to 5 jobs a day can he does he now charge lower prices?
Service economy is not the same as commodities
Inflation is embedded into the economy. We either accept it or we have to have one hell of a recession and correction in everything
Higher rates will push up inflation
Rents will go up as landlords costs go up significantly
Business with debt will have to pay higher debt costs so they'll have to pass on costs
Higher rates will cause some businesses to go bust leaving less competition and thus higher prices
All these higher prices will lead to employees asking for higher wages and a tight labour market will mean they get it
Inflation is now embedded for at least 18 months maybe 3+ years

😂 you cant win in this market. After you released your vid the machines stepped in to reverse the plunge & made it rally. Still the trend is your friend & I'm sitting mostly in cash. An 8% inflation hit to cash is better than a massive drawdown in your PF. For now. I've kissed this year goodbye for stocks. It’s like rowing a boat in a tidal wave. What a mess.

What is your take on Jeremy Siegel's CNBC interview, he said the housing, which is 50% of the core CPI is misleading (lagging), All the indicators show that housing is going down, even rental, but the shelter part of the CPI is not reflecting it, in fact, he said the shelter number should be negative.
