Bryce is back in the studio and making adjustments. While his trip away was meant to serve as time spent away from day trading, Bryce had a different plan... And that plan didn't exactly work in his favor. Tune in as he breaks down several charts, including but not limited to $TSLA, $WISH, and $VRPX. And don't miss the lessons from this BIG mistake.

Welcome back to small cap recap in the studio um: it's been a while uh over uh just about two weeks now i think, since we've been in the studio, i actually missed a couple last week as matt and i were both out of state um. I was more so on a like a week-long vacation trying to get away from everything. Uh and matt, i know is in italy with tim and all them um and you know they're the time difference and i know he's busy uh. So we've been, you know away a little bit.

This was almost weird um, quite tired. Right now i actually just got back in today. Midday uh um, probably like one o'clock central time. Anyways, let's get, i don't really have a whole lot to say here the market.

I think i took a pretty good week. Well, i actually kind of didn't take it off we're about to get into that, but it has been slow, very slow, um, so yeah we got a lot of adjustments to make um, especially now that i'm back, you know at the training station kind of full time Here um definitely gon na need to adjust a bit because the market is not what it was in july, not that the market was that hot in july, but it's certainly not hot right. Now, let's get into the charts. I'm gon na go over two trades from today, uh.

Well, two two of the hotter runners. I did take naov this morning, uh while i was at the airport actually um. I took a couple trades on it. Why won't this go bigger? Well, here, whoa too far there we go so this morning, uh.

Actually, let's pull up a daily chart on naov here, um, basically very clean breakout chart nice volume uh has been kind of curling around all you know just holding this holding this nice support in here. Finally, started to curl trapped some shorts yesterday, most likely - and this is almost you know in a way a third day - surge - very, very tough one to play, because it did actually, you know, break uh. Yesterday it did break the previous day's highs, closed, pretty low and then had a really nice gap up um, so that absolutely interests me today. As i was saying, i did take a couple trades uh on it at the airport, with this gap up nice rip here, uh support hold and i started in - let's see here started in right here in this area.

Let me get vwop up on it. Um i made about a thousand dollars on an aov. Nothing too crazy started in here, 325. uh actually sold right here in the 30s um and then bought once more here sold into this breakout.

Had i just you know, set a stop and rode the plane. I would have done pretty well on it, i'm sure, as it went over four dollars before getting crushed uh this. You know this is kind of the pattern of the market right now, breakouts aren't working uh as you're gon na see on mags right here same story. Right uh, they had a press release.

Mid-Day had uh nothing too crazy, uh in volume, especially relative to the float. I mean it rotated half the flow today, but was it was a breakout, ended up failing at the end of the day. Let's get back here. You know nothing again this and it's still held up relatively well um, given given the move uh here, you know, i mean it's, it's still holding above lowe's today and everything it just basically had the support break under view op after stuffing this area.
This is a chart that you normally would think would be a pretty decent afternoon buy too, but it's just really really not the market for it, and my plan moving forward for the next foreseeable future, really just focused on the nail and bale uh mindset nail in Bell mentality get out after you know: 30 45 minutes, maybe an hour after market opens uh, because it's just it's tough out there, and you know that's something. I talked about too on uh small cap or on two tip tuesday, tweet tip thursday. If any of you guys follow on instagram or tick, tock uh get out a little bit that vacation to me was kind of eye-opening um right, like obviously this this market has been crazy. You know done pretty well and it's one of those things that it kind of almost uh showed me like the the actual value of the money that i've made so far, and it's for so long was just numbers on a screen.

I don't really buy anything. Don't do anything too crazy and finally, i went on a really nice vacation with my friends and my car, my friend my cousin, and it was like okay. This is why i do this i'm more motivated than ever, but also ready to be more disciplined than ever, because i'm about to show you the most expensive trading mistake. I've ever made uh in the course of my my trading journey here, and that was basically i've got three charts up that i'm about to go over uh.

I i deviated from my process really bad. I knew that i wouldn't have time to day trade. I knew i didn't want to. I knew i wanted to stay away from the markets and for some reason that to me you know to most normal people that mean: okay, don't look at the screens at all for a week to me, that meant, let's become a swing, trader and swing things, and I'm not a swing trader.

I've worked really hard to find a process that works for me day trading. I am not a swing trader and clearly that shows is i lost from tuesday until today, about 25 000 over the course of three swing trades, i'm gon na dig into them here, uh wish being the being the first one, they reported earnings, i'm sure you've all Seen this right, they all they reported earnings. They got crushed uh from roughly 950s down. I think today, yeah under seven dollars uh i had i started in here as we were making or not here.

Uh started in after this low held right here i started in. I think on the second or third yeah this day right here at it again right here. As it looked like this, consolidation was starting to break. I did see it downtrending.

My risk was eight nineties and, with it being after hours, stops, don't go off in after hours. Unfortunately, i it was a very fortunate. I guess in the sense that i was i did happen to check. My phone saw.
Wish was down at roughly eight dollars a share sold on a pop into like the eight twenties. Eight thirties took about a seven thousand dollar loss there. I don't remember. I had thirty 3 500 shares from somewhere right right around 10 a share um and the thesis for that, for me was right.

It held support. It's a wall street bets ticker had support behind it, and i i wanted to uh. I you know other than that. That really was the my entire thesis was that health support broke this down trend and was a wall street best ticker, not a very good thesis.

I was oversized and unfortunately, after hours trading it happens. I knew they had earnings coming up, forgot about it and it happened um. Now, let's go over to tesla, i actually did swing tesla and i'm actually i'm okay with this loss uh. So i bought this breakout right here.

It failed gapped down, got stopped out under the support break for a i wan na say like a four or five thousand dollar loss. I think um somewhere around there. I had 200 shares now. The reason i'm kind of okay with this is because this pattern actually has worked on tesla historically right when it has these um these these multi-week multi-month breakouts.

It normally does continue same thing here. Broke continued broke, continued uh here, bro continued, you know like it has. Historically worked this time, it didn't, and you know what it's that's part of the game. Again, though, shouldn't have been swing as i am not a swing trader and then vrpx was my other one uh.

This was a former runner uh about a month ago. Two months ago now - and it's basically just been holding this - it's been holding these lows extremely well. It is an ipo um, it's a pharmaceutical company which is sketchy in itself, but i in the tape there were clearly there were buyers. Uh, someone was loading up down here.

Holding this up every day there were bidders - and i wanted to be on that i was they had they had the trend break that i looked for right, so we started off. This is kind of the trend break. I'm looking at right here - and this is roughly right where i started in uh - i started in this day as it broke the daily trend that i that i do look for um. I even had this even smaller trend break same idea and they did drop prs to try to try to get some attention to it and they actually it didn't work um and basically, i was risking these 430s area.

I had a lot of shared shares of this, which was very stupid in itself because it is a pharma company, and i am very, very fortunate that i think i took about a 9 000 loss on it that that was all i lost, because all it takes For a pharmaceutical company is to drop negative news on uh just about anything that they don't get approval for something uh, that it's a failed. You know failed clinical results uh, as you can see, i'm sure you guys all saw this one where five days. Oh, is it s? Yes, is that it which one is it not? Why can't i remember this guys? Is it this one? No well, there was one of them. I ca it's something like that: one of those tickers and it was trading at roughly six dollars a share halted down because they didn't get the fda approval that they were getting hyped up for and it opened at like 70 cents.
On from that halt, it dropped 90, give or take um, and that is it was. It was a pharmaceutical company, and that is the risk that you run with trading those kinds of those kinds of stocks, and you know i again should not have been swing trading. I the lesson here that i'm trying to kind of get at with all of these is stay in your lane. I didn't stay in my lane and i paid a 25 000 price for it because i was being stupid because i was being degenerate.

I was wanted. The money i wasn't focusing on the process and it it sucks like it really sucks, but it also opened my eyes and you know. Fortunately, it wasn't a 50 or 100 000 lesson. Um, i'm not going to worry here about making back the loss right.

The last week's loss, my goal moving forward is to trade well trade with smaller size, since this market kind of does suck and really just focus on everything. That is my process and my process only and go go from there. You know the market will heat back up. It will i mean right now the top percent gainer today that actually had volume was naov and it closed i mean don't get wrong.

Aov was a very good trade actually, especially for this market, but the follow through still not there, even though it's coming back here after hours, um stick to your process, stay in your lane and don't be afraid, i need to take my own advice, don't be afraid To get away from the market, and that does not mean swing trade if you're not a swing trader, you know what i mean. You don't need to be making money all the time, because when the market heats up and you stick to your process and you have a profitable strategy, it will like make up for those times that the market isn't hot. That's the lesson: i'm learning um and you know it sucks, but it's part of the game and i'm fortunate that it wasn't. It wasn't a soul-crushing loss.

You know what i mean so anyways guys. Oh, i actually one last one too. I forgot. I am swinging this right now.

Uh is otc overnight. Uh breakout idea, hpil matt monaco actually alerted this to me and it's a really nice trade um basically have this. You know little little uh trend break here and i'm looking for just some kind of morning spike. If not i'll be risking the this 8008 area, um i'm happy with it.

So far, we'll see it closed at highs. Hopefully we can get that morning spike tomorrow, anyways guys uh. Now i'm done ranting. I'm done that's the lesson.

I've learned and those this is kind of my thought on the market. You mentioned $SESN. Iwas shorting the top @ $5.80 when it froze. Luckily it dropped. I covered at $1.10. My best /luckiest trade to date. Covered all my losses for 2 months! God smiled on me. Reminded me to get out of the pharm stocks quickly.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kelvin Panko says:

I am not bad a swing trading but with earnings season getting close to being done and the world news that came out on monday, I got stopped out on a few swing trades this week and the losses have added up a bit too. That is trading.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars G R says:

Market is slow, volume is down for sure and panics are not bouncing very well, lots of fakeouts on the way down, also lots of failed o/n gappers.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ben says:

Bro…and then the next day VRPX….hope you caught some of that back today.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Osiobe says:

There"s been a shift in the market. if you are fortunate to have made money earlier this year, i think its time to chill out of the market and enjoy a little bit of that new found wealth. Greed is always a big down fall in this niche.

You have no idea how much the transparency means to us newer traders. Seeing even the best take losses helps keep my head up and pushing forward.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fred Glutz says:

I never traded any issue which did not trade an average daily volume of at least 1 million shares per day. I also never established any position without first seeing a very large individual block or series of large blocks traded which I presumed was an insider. I focused on the tick data. Try reading Stock Market Tradecraft (Google it) for a detailed explanation. It's well worth the time and effort.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dcoke says:

$VRPX sorry about your SL Bryce. 17 AUG 21 hit 16 dollars a share. I feel your pain.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anastassia Taktejeva says:

August has been pretty tough and slow, I hope September will heat up a little. Also things like indices keep going higher, while small caps keep on getting crushed. Weird.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Oke Strick says:

Yeah August has been tough been doing the same thing not sticking to my strategy as a day trader. I've been trying to swing earnings and been a hard 2 months thanks for the video learned alot

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 2RipChic says:

Played NAOV, was green 33. I got impatient with it, didn't give it more time. I got in 3.29. Been sizing down.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Okie Tradez says:

you cant consider MAGS a breakout bcuz 8/16 was first high volume day, the rest of the days are just a bad crow chart tbh, no high relative volume days to "breakout" over so it was just a day 1 hod break not a breakout..

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Okie Tradez says:

maybe you havnt been around long enough to know this Bryce but never ever ever ever trust a CHINA STONK.. strictly pump and dumps

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan B says:

You will become a swing trader too someday. Return to the $2 strategy for it, but maybe make it $200 strategy now that you're in a different place in your trader journey.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mother_Nature says:

NAOV was definitely choppy for me, so I avoided it

I’ve lost 25-50k in a day a few times… can’t get down on yourself and you have to make sure the mistakes that led to the loss were recognizable… but this guys in one hell of a mood after losing 25k

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephen D'hooge says:

Thx for this great vid bro and sharing your mistakes! It wasn't this month, because I currently focus on studying only, but the biggest lesson I learned is, just don't add to losers/fix your average, because it will burn you. Especially as a newb like myself. I got lucky, but others won't.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LegalPimp Trading says:

Great lessons in this recap. Props for the transparency. I been on nail n bail mode which comes easy cause I got no patience. Up 10K on august but could have been way more if hadn’t lost over 10K on FULC last week. Made it almost all back next day on same ticker but sux letting one play do so much damage. Nevertheless we regroup refocus and run it up!

It's going to be a sad day if/when that intro music changes lol

Welcome back & thank you for putting this content out. You, Matt, Sykes & Bohen put in the time & effort into the free content and it's greatly appreciated (not forgetting Kyle, Huddie, Roland, Jack & now Mariana too. They're all appreciated but I haven't dived into the paid content they provide just yet).

Big fan of all the student's humbleness.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars justin carl says:

I appreciate your transparency Bryce! I feel your pain. I took a $12000 last month swinging a low float meme stock over a weekend.. then went back for more.m A revenge swing trade I guess? Lol. Anyways. Yeah, took another hit there too. Big lesson! We better traders because of them though. Anyways. Thanks for the welcoming post in the rockets chat room. Im the new guy! CADDISFLY ✌

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sky_Hi_Trading says:

Man sorry you got spanked. Lessons learned. PS. I really love the small cap recap but I sure hope that STT promo with the sound effects isnt going to be in every video now. SOOOOOOO annoying. Your message at the end was fine tho. Peace out.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Humes says:

Good to see you're back man. Dog days of summer indeed. It's all pop and drops for the most part out there. I feel ya on those swings man. I've just stopped trying to swing for the moment. Maybe wait til fall or something.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Keith McManus says:

Thanks man! I was thinking about breaking my plan today and didn't b/c I watched this. Thanks for the reminder!

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TamaTamax7 says:

Losses and lapses in discipline are a part of trading. Don’t beat yourself up too much Bryce, lessons learned. You’ve had a savage run, there’s scary dips in every uptrend. Onwards and upwards
