    But what does that mean? Because in Texas you also don't pay capital gains tax. But you still pay federal income tax. So what does he mean by 0 taxes? I'm guessing federal income taxes still apply snd if they if they do then you might as well just move to a state that has 0 capital gains tax which is the same thing. Also if you live abroad but are a US citizen you don't have to pay state taxes because you don't live in a state but you still need to pay federal income tax.

    I wouldn't recommend moving to Puerto Rico for those Act60 tax incentives. Local Puerto Ricans hate them, and its giving rise to the GringoGoHome movement, because its causing extreme gentrification to the island. The government is actually debating about taking them down, the only people keeping it up is the corrupt governor and his administration are keeping it up just to use as leverage to push the island to get statehood.

    Day trading shouldn't be considered capital gains though as you are only temporarily holding the stock for resale. Assets held for resale are usually treated as inventory.
