I learned the hard way about the reverse split, I left my trade and lost because I had no idea what this was, I should have ran but I was new to trading,, now I paper trade to study, I saw this video and thought to myself, hhhmmmmm what do we have here, thanks man, wish I would have seen this before. This was in 2018, in 2021 it is at 1.10…..

When/how does one actually go about buying the stock for the cheap price after the reverse split? For example, in testing this method out, I tried to buy AHT in premarket on July 16 because the reverse split occurred after the market closed on July 15. But both Robinhood and WeBull showed AHT as temporarily unavailable. Today, same thing happened with SCYX; The reverse split initiated today July 17, so I set an alarm for 3am CST, but when I tried to buy shares at that time, the stock was unavailable until this morning, after the price already went back up as a result of the split.
A year later,,,,,, what you feel?

Would the stock have climbed then without the reverse split and only the pump news? Or does the split put the stock on more people's radars, including newbies, because of the significant gap up?
Companies do reverse splits because they sometimes get delisting notices from the SEC. If they can't maintain a certain price above the bid requirement than they'll do these to avoid getting delisted. Gotta be careful on both the long and short sides because these plays move big!

Hey also I have a question oh, I do feel like companies, particularly who shares are classified as penny stocks will intentionally reverse split the shares before releasing good news, then with the stock price being a much higher they will release a market offering printing new shares at this now higher value, causing the price to tank because they're being diluted. it seems to me like a shady thing that I'm seeing a lot but if you can recognize it you can make a lot of money shorting as soon as they announced the offering. The price of each share is almost guaranteed to go down with these big offerings right because each shares a smaller percentage of the company.
I would like second opinion here but with a reverse split doesn't that mean that the float his now become very small, giving the price a potential to move up or down very fast given any demand that may come in. So if the company releases news, after the split let's say the float is now only half a million, the price can go up crazy amounts now right?

I lost 1,200 bucks on Dgaz when it did a reversal split!! Lesson learned, not to hold a shitty company over night!
