Hey everybody, welcome back to the show! There are two things that I want to talk about today. First one is going to be the American Express Centaurian. Lounge We're going to be a couple opening up in the next few years or so. this one is going to be about the one opening up up North So we're going to be talking about that and we're also going to be talking about an airline that gave me status and I didn't have to do a status match or anything like that.

and I want to talk to you guys about that. How random that was. And also if you guys have received that too now, typically American Airlines will send me an email to buy gold status. You could actually buy gold status if it's worth it for you.

I don't think it's worth it, but if it is, and it's typically anywhere between fifteen hundred to two thousand dollars for the entire year. Well Recently, with all the Delta changes I'm you know, trying to figure out a different strategy, but that same night, ironically, American Airlines sends me complimentary gold status for four months I Want to make this very clear: I'm not affiliate with American Airlines I Don't know anybody who works for American Airlines and I've never had American Airlines status so it was really ironic they wanted to chase me to get complimentary gold status. Now it is complimentary I get it until January and I'll put the screenshot right here for you guys so you can see the email that I received. Let me know if you guys receive an email, check your emails Yes! I enrolled if you want to know why not.

I would definitely be testing out how gold status is with American Airlines see if it's worth it. I'll actually be taking a flight back to Philadelphia on America Airlines that's an American Hub just to kind of see how gold status is with American Airlines never been a status holder with American Airlines really never anticipated to do so, but I'll definitely take it for this four months now. Obviously, if I want to keep that status, I'll have to obviously do some flying and there's I think two or three phases of actually checking my phone right now. There's two or three phases that I have to make to keep my gold status for the remainder of the year, but free gold status is I've never heard of that before just giving it out.

So it was just again, really ironic that the day that Delta does those major changes, American Airlines starts sending out complimentary status to you know, different people that are signed up for a advantage. and uh, to me, it's not by surprise though. I think they definitely knew what they were doing. Marketing team was on point with that one and it gives people the opportunity to try something else out for the next four months if Delta's is not going to be a thing for you anymore.

So great job to American Airlines for that. All right and the next thing is going to be about American Express And my favorite, the Centaurian Lounge is nothing but free drinks. Maybe some massages. A good time.
So American Express and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Jersey announced plans for the Centurion Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport. Now this was looked over by so many people because there was so much that went on last week. This was actually posted to the American Express website I'll put the link down below so you can read it. it was in The Newsroom where American Express on their website it was posted September 12th so I believe that was last Tuesday and pretty much it just says today American Express and the Port Authority plans to expand this toy Lounge Network and this is going to be a 17 000 square feet.

This will be the biggest location of that. The Centauri Lounge has it. The new Centurion Lounge will include an indoor Terrace overlooking the Airfield with views on the Manhattan skyline and a cocktail bar and piano. Lounge Celebrating New Jersey's Rich Jazz history.

American Express is the first credit card issuer to announce plans to open a proprietary Lounge at EWR. That's exciting for EWR out of all the three. Yeah, LaGuardia you got JFK You got EWR all in that vicinity. If you're flying out of maybe northern Jersey or New York I would say EWR gets the least amount of love.

So with that new terminal being open and the Centurion Lounge being there, it'll definitely bring a lot more business. So I'm excited for that. I will definitely have to make a trip to go check it out and you know I will and I will Vlog it for you guys. so so you gotta wait about two years or some change.

but I definitely will make sure I've Vlog that for you guys when it is open. All right guys! so what are your thoughts about this again? Did you guys get that email too? And guys, it's a no-brainer Enroll in the gold status is not going to hurt you. It's free if you received it. If not, let me know down below this is a one-off.

and also, are you guys excited about the new Centurion lounge if you live in the New York area. I'll talk to you guys soon. Be safe! Thank you Foreign.
