Hey everyone me kevin here in this video we're going to talk about a new ipo coming in the electric vehicle space and it's not some lame unprofitable spec this time, don't get me wrong. I love some of our lame unprofitable stocks for speculating it. But folks, if you want to make a real investment into evs, this could be a pretty big opportunity. Let's talk about it right after i mentioned that this video is brought to you by stream yard, go to metcalf.com streamyard, to learn more about professional video broadcasting and live streaming that you can do straight from your browser, medcavan.com streamyard! It's exactly what i use every time.

I livestream to put up comments to operate the live streams to get thumbnails and titles set to schedule live streams. It is an incredible software and you can even multi-stream to different platforms like twitter, facebook twitch, you name it take a look at stream yards by either going to streamyard.com, meetkevin or metkevin.com streamyard, okay, folks, let's get into the video, so mobilei folks, mobile eye is currently Owned by intel, i have been wanting to invest in mobile eye. Ever since i saw a 2016 video of a car using mobile eye technology using well self-driving, essentially through israel. Now mobilei uses mapped data lidar and a lot more information than tesla's use to drive autonomously through cities.

Here's a video that was posted more recently about four months ago of a mobile eye equipped vehicle driving through new york and manhattan. One of the benefits of mobile is that it can be equipped to multiple different vehicles. This company is expecting to be spun off from intel in an ipo to give the company a little bit more breathing room to be able to raise their own capital and ultimately launch robo taxi services. The company is expected to be valued in excess of 50 billion dollars.

They currently have deals with ford gili, the chinese manufacturer and many other companies. In fact, their eq3 was the uh software and hardware that tesla used back in 2016 until they had a falling out, which we'll talk more about. In a moment, the eq4 powers, neos es6 and es8 nissan's pro pilot 2 volkswagen's travel, assist in the passat engulf the ford machi and the ford f-150 truck. The eq5 is in the bmw ix and they're developing the iq6.

Along with i imagine many other products. Now. I'm really excited for this company, but i do know that their s1, when they finally disclose that they're going public with the s with the sec, is going to be critical. Now, what's really interesting, is we already hear that this company has over 442 million dollars of operating income over the last 12 months? This is so different from a potentially unprofitable spec, because this company already appears to be making a boatload of money and profit.

That's going to make this a very interesting and potentially hot ipo. Now, obviously, its competitors are companies like apple developing, its own software autonomy, software for self-driving companies like nvidia qualcomm, also working on their own self-driving chips and tesla. No doubt tesla, because tesla does not use mobileye anymore. Chevy cruz is probably the biggest stand-alone comp that i could think of in terms of valuation.
Chevy cruz was purchased by gm for 1 billion in 2016, valued at 19 billion dollars in 2019, valued at over 30 billion dollars in 2021, which, if you wanted to buy chevy cruze shares on the stock market. If you put a hundred dollars into gm, you'd, basically be putting about thirty dollars or maybe even closer to thirty three dollars into gm cruise. Remember gm cruise uses map software and lidar for its autonomy. Software you've also got to pay attention to the road.

It's got. Those lights on the wheel that kind of beat back yeah if you take your eyes off the road, although tesla's kind of started incorporating the cabin camera for this purpose as well, though, there does seem to be a cooldown in terms of how often it will beep At you, at least from my experience with the vehicle now we are expecting that robo taxis will be launched, uh in in really the next few years by multiple different companies, both mobileye expecting a launch in the middle of 2022 for robo taxis and a gm crew. Chevy cruz expecting to launch robo taxis over the next few years and they expect that to be a 50 billion dollar revenue opportunity. Folks, mobilize was bought by intel for 15.3 billion dollars in 2017..

I actually considered investing in intel to get basically my hands on mobile eye as a way to diversify away from tesla and other ev pies. But i realized that if i put 100 into gm 33 would go into cruise. But if i put 100 into intel only about one or two dollars would actually go into mobile eye. That didn't make sense.

Now the company's being spun off. That could lead to a lot of opportunity for that company to raise capital for a lot of people to be able to invest in the company. Now tesla stopped working with the company. They ended their partnership with uh with mobileye following a fatality of a car.

Failing to see a white uh tractor trailer cutting the driver off on the highway and the car driving under that tractor uh trailer killing the driver. There were also expectations that potentially the driver was distracted watching. I think it was harry potter on his laptop, but there was a at that point, an argument that elon made that he wanted to create more advanced technology that wasn't being held back by being able to support hundreds of models from legacy companies. That's because elon musk believes hey.

Why don't we just create one product that we could use for uh for our cars and we don't have to make this be able to retrofit onto basically hundreds of different models. It's much easier just to have four or five different vehicles and have our autonomy, software perfected for these vehicles. So that's, ultimately the direction that elon musk went and, of course, elon. Musk and tesla use their own chips now for self-driving technology and their own computing and own algorithms, to essentially machine learn or to make their autonomous software better and better and better.
With every update. I've personally seen this having owned a tesla since 2017, i've seen the autopilot software go from absolutely miserable to pretty phenomenally incredible without even taking the car in for service. These are all just through over-the-air updates, and i haven't even had the hardware upgraded with the exception of recently, because i'm trying to get the full self-driving beta, but still waiting for new cameras. Apparently, it's kind of annoying anyway uh mobileye does use lidar and mobilei argues that tesla is going to hit a glass ceiling with their self-driving technology.

Unless they start adopting, lidar lidar is uh it. We actually even had a recall a few days ago about tesla cameras which helped to mobilize skyrocket about 10 percent. I not mobile micro vision, skyrocket about 10. That's because i've made videos about this before i personally think microvision is a company that tesla should just buy and just incorporate that forward-facing glider right into the little rear view, mirror display and boom.

Now you've got forward-facing light on it's personally, an argument that i've made many times before. Sometimes that upsets people and tests the community but uh, even though i'm a tesla bull, i don't like to be blinded by love uh and i'm not saying that somebody else watching this, who is a tesla volunteer, doesn't like lidar is blinded by love just saying uh. It's okay to have different opinions, so uh we do uh know that uh we've got uh a goal for mobileye of going public this year, hopefully uh. Actually, it might not be this year anymore, it's december already, uh within the next couple quarters is the goal for when mobile, i would be going public based on what we're hearing now uh.

It's also worth taking a brief, listen to the mobilized ceo about what he talks about for about 30 seconds, with going autonomous, uh with robo, taxis and then also mapping. Data take take a listen in here. We are at an inflection point where we believe middle of 2022, where we're going to launch first, our robot taxi and all the deals that we have around it, both for uh autonomous cars, consumer consumer autonomous cars, premium aides, adas. It's a huge growth that we have, that you have experienced and lots and lots of value going forward, and what is what is missing is visibility, and this is exactly what an ipo will will provide mobile eye, and this value that will be created would benefit intel.

Going forward because intel will still remain the majority shareholder worth noting intel's still gon na be a majority shareholder. We're gon na jump on over to about three minutes here, just to listen to another part, that's interesting or both for uh autonomous driving for uh ride-hailing. But more importantly, for going for premium adas for premium adas is something that covers. Ninety-Five percent of the driving uh aadis is advanced driving support software, and i wanted to actually cut this off a little bit here.
He's talking about maps how important mapping is - and i want to talk about that in tesla. Briefly, okay and we have been mapping mapping the world, and this gives us a huge asset going forward both for autonomous driving for ride hailing, but, more importantly, for going for premium adas right. So this is a company that believes you need to use premium maps that you need to use lidar and all the technologies that you have available to essentially your company. This is completely the opposite of tesla and elon musk, who are much more focused on eliminating parts.

The best part is no part: let's have no radar, let's have no lidar, let's focus on vision, because that's what humans use humans use their eyes. So why do we need anything? More than that we don't need to map roads. We want to be able to take a vehicle anywhere and not just on mapped roads to be able to drive or use self-driving. So these are some massive differences, of course, between tesla and mobile.

I expect mobile to be a massive competitor to tesla and, to some degree i think that microvision and mobilei could be deemed hedges uh against an investment in tesla and, ultimately, i think they they are both directionally positive. I think if you invest in microvision mobilize and tesla you're not going to be upset, hashtag no guarantees, but i can tell you you'll be very, very happy.
