Well, folks, nancy pelosi is back at it again, this time buying 250 to 500 000 of the holding company alliance bernstein. They invest in a bunch of different stocks and exercising four different sets of option contracts, american express apple paypal and walt disney. Let's take a look at how these were played so for apple. She ended up buying them 30 in the money leaps from december 22nd of 2020, along with disney same date about 73 dollars in the money.
She also got paypal in american express all the way back in june of 2020 paypal for 72 dollars in the money and american express for thirteen dollars in the money she held to expiration. So she lost all of her premium that just becomes part of her cost basis, so in american express she paid about a hundred twenty dollars for a hundred eighty dollar stock. That's about a fifty percent gain, but unfortunately, that gets washed. With about a forty two percent loss on paypal, paying about 175 for 103 stock apple paid about 140 to 150 for a 165 stock, a nice 10 to 17 gain and a solid loss.
Unfortunately, though, on walt disney paying 175 for a stock, now worth 146. looks like nancy pelosi done did broke even.
