Hi guys it's mark so the other day i was scrolling through youtube when i was confronted by this video by cody co. Now, let me start off by saying after watching the video overall, i really liked his reaction. However, i do have an issue with some of the points he raised, which i feel i need to address. As you guys probably know, i'm not just a youtuber, i'm i'm a chad, i'm an entrepreneur, i'm a race car driver, i'm a playboy model.

Well, i'm a boy that plays with models, i'm a silver fox and sometimes even a father. Oh thanks, a lot dad be quiet son but, most importantly, i'm an investor. No, but seriously. I started from zero earning less than two dollars an hour, making wooden trash cans to now been a multi-millionaire.

So i think it's safe to say: i've learned a thing or two over my many years of being on this planet. That's exactly why i made this channel to help anyone become wealthy and better their life through business, investing and entrepreneurship, by providing absolutely free videos without selling anything, especially not those courses for 997.. Before we dive into this i'd like to say, i have nothing but respect for cody as he's absolutely smashing it on youtube and as a fan myself, it was so cool to be featured on his channel. So on that note smash that thumbs up button for the l, tube yoga rhythm and let's get right into this, because it's going to be juicy for the average person looking for finance tips online, they might be poking around ehow.com.

How do i say? How do i make money? You know, but look no further. The answer is right in front of your face. It's on tick-tock. We should watch some together and maybe maybe learn a thing or two.

This man's name is tilbury and uh um. Let's see if, let's see what we learn check out my expensive limited edition, sneakers they're awesome, i just buy what's on sale and invest the rest loser loser i can tell i can tell those hand-me-downs dripless what what's with your hair too, i'm earning so much money. I can lease this lambo bro, that's great. I still have the same car from college.

Yeah. Good luck, getting any pee in that car dog! Well cody! Did you see my size? 14 shoes? It's never been a problem for me. I mean back in my day. I used to pull up on horseback and it still wasn't a problem.

I lost my job and i can barely pay rent damn that sucks all my houses are paid off and i drive whatever i want these days. Oh, it's all right for you, that's why saving and investing is so important. Wait why? Oh because in the end you both end up dripless, but at least your house is paid off. Oh i get it.

You know it's like the most obvious lesson ever don't spend too much, but i guess we all have to be reminded of that. Sometimes i can understand why you'd think that. But there is a well-known saying that common sense isn't all that common and the figures seemed to back this up. A recent article by the independent revealed that 70 of millennials lift paycheck to paycheck and, what's even more staggering, is 40 percent of americans earning over a hundred thousand dollars a year are still living paycheck to paycheck.
The reason why i bring this up is because your money is far more valuable when you're younger, due to the power of compound interest. Take this example based on historical data. Imagine two people: let's call them jack and blake jack starts. Investing at age, 21 and blake starts investing at age 30..

Now you may not think that sounds like a big difference. It's only nine years and after all, your 20s are for fun right well, keep listening, because this is really interesting. Jack and blake both invested 400 per year, but jack decided to stop paying into his investments at age 30, whereas blake started investing at 30 and continued all the way until he was 67.. The result of this was jack retiring at 67, with 2.5 million and blake retired, with only 1.5 million dollars.

This just shows the power of compound interest and why your money is so much more valuable when you're younger i've done very well for myself, but i still look back and think i could have invested more when i was younger. So this is why i feel it's so important to talk about this, even though it may seem like common sense on the surface. I'm really passionate about people setting themselves up for long-term success, and if that means skipping out on a few designer items, then i'm all for that look. Investing is important and you should start thinking about it early in life.

But, like i don't know this, this guy's life just seems so boring. I mean his hair is sick but like if you make a little cash, invest some and then kick yourself out for a little meal with the other little bit. You know buy yourself those shoes, you can do both it's not one or the other. Although i talk heavily about investing, please don't get this confused with me having a sad life, it's actually been quite the opposite, because i invested substantially in my own businesses that has allowed me to travel.

The world compete to a world-class standard in my passion and also race cars in my spare time, i've literally ticked off every item on my bucket list. Well, apart from going into space with richard branson, if you're watching this hook me up richard, i didn't teach your son to fly for nothing, no, but seriously, there's only so much you can get across in a 30 second tick tock. So sometimes the details can get lost in the overall message. The truth is i'm not against spending on luxury items.

I believe everything can be good in moderation except drugs, don't do drugs, kids, if you're really a millionaire. Let's have a spin in your lambo yeah sure, but i don't have one: let's go to a five star restaurant. Instead, then well, i've got leftovers at home. I don't want to waste my money.

What you don't have a lambo or eat five star you're, not a millionaire. I don't need to prove my wealth by buying expensive things, buy what you want, not what society expects. What if i want expensive things, though, what, if i really like a five-star meal? What's wrong with five-star meal, i must admit: you're, not the only one that said this, but i did say, buy what you want. Not what society expects if you want a luxury meal go and grab it cody, i'm not gon na stand in your way.
If you want it - and it's genuinely for you, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. My issue only arises when people start buying things under peer pressure in order to keep up with their friends for appearances, there's a fantastic quote that sums this up, and it goes something like this don't buy things. You don't want with money that you don't have to impress people you don't even like just think back to the example we discussed a moment ago about compound interest. Jack and blake were only investing 2 400 per year.

The average fancy meal can cost anywhere between three hundred and five hundred dollars a few of them and that's nearly an entire year's worth of investing gone just to drive that point home. This could mean you're, literally millions out of pocket. One thing that i absolutely adore about these videos is like the sketch format, like them playing two different characters and talking to themselves about the thing that they're trying to teach. Why not just do it right to the camera great point, but i'm sure you're aware as a fellow content creator, we are somewhat at the whim of the almighty, algorithm and tick tock above everything else is all about keeping people engaged for as long as possible.

This style of content keeps people interested for a longer period of time which allows my message to spread much further, which i can only see as a good thing. The tick tocks are meant to intrigue people that might not be initially interested in finance. Who can then dive deeper into my content on youtube, which is far more in depth and direct to camera? Love your house? How much did it cost? What a rude question learn some manners: how can my friends get more pocket money than me, you're, so ungrateful? How much money do you make? I certainly won't be discussing that with you boy. You really need to get your life into order, you're drowning in debt.

Well, no one wanted to talk to me about money when i was growing up. What do you expect? Oh yo wow that hit - i don't know about you, but that hit truly. I mean it's very true: they don't teach this stuff in school and people just hate talking about money in general, which makes it very hard for anyone to get a comprehensive grasp of it. Before it's too late, it's like people are always playing catch up.

This is backed up by the statistics, as 55 of people don't feel comfortable opening up about their finances. I personally believe talking about money and making it less taboo from a young age is the only way that we can break this cycle. That's why i think it's so great that you're talking about this on your massive youtube channel, i'm sure it's bringing some much needed attention to the issue. I bought the shiba inu coin early and now it's flying bro dogecoin is much better and it's backed by elon.
Well, shiva's going to kill dogecoin for sure yeah. I don't think so. I bought doge at 5 cents and now it's at 30.. That's a 500 return.

That's nothing! Compared with my 1 500 on sheba, i would buy shiba, but i, like all my stocks and crypto in one place. Well public do both and you can get a free stock worth. Oh, my god is this an ad. This is an ad for public mark.

You owe me money dog. You owe me money for that, hang on a minute cody. What are you talking about owing you money? I just gave you the opportunity to pick up a free stock worth up to a thousand dollars from public.com and for you guys in the uk, i'm not forgetting you, because you can grab a free stock worth all the way up to 200 pound from free trade. That's all down in the description for you, so you could say i am giving you free money.

Don't even get me started on the 10 worth of free bitcoin waiting for you on coinbase, crazy. I know in all seriousness. These are brands that i love and trust and after all, they're giving you something for free, so it really is a win-win. Damn he's got 987 000 subs killing it.

This is the perfect opportunity to extend a massive thank you to every single one of you that supported this channel. As we've just passed, 1 million subscribers who'd have thought a boomer like me could have done that. If you had 24 hours with me - and i couldn't say no, what would we do? First, we'll be setting you up with a credit card to boost your credit score. Second, will be opening up a roth ira or an isa if you're in the uk.

Third i'll show you how to invest in the s p 500 and get an average 10 percent return, and after that we can sit down and watch a film with my wife, rick mark i mean mark. Why did i think your name was rick dunno? You look like both honestly rark, you know what mick that was a really funny short. That was a really funny video. I really like that one.

I just happened to click on that one he's killing it. I think we learned something. We definitely learned something i did have a lot of fun filming that one, and i guess you could say that's the perfect example of how we can turn financial content into an engaging short video that covers so many topics like credit cards, credit score, tax advantages, accounts And also long-term index fund investing. So if you're new to my channel or finance in general, then please feel free to come by, as i promise to make things as interesting as i possibly can, and maybe you'll even learn something i mean you'll learn how to know everything so well, maybe not you Cody is your next level clued up when it comes to finance, so i'm going to leave the next video right up there, but don't click on it just yet make sure to subscribe.
If you want to grow your wealth and don't forget to pick up your free stocks and bitcoin with the links below okay i'll see you over there.
