It’s amazing how we actively go out of our way to make it clear that our objective discussions about climate change does bit equal an opinion on the matter.
I had a job interview this week where I talked about another job a few years ago that involved managing communications regarding natural gas companies, and opposition groups, and I actually told them that, “now, I’m not making an opinion on the matter…”
It’s just weird.
My problem with hood is that its mostly demographed to smaller retailers.. (the ppl who usually lose) so on top of it being for the little guys without much money, most of them will end up giving up. In terms of brokers its just shite
It’s not a good time to invest in insurance industrial now. Based on the latest report SF spend $106 on every $100 recieved from premium. Farmer, Progressive are the same. The worst is Allstate, it’s about speding $131 on every $100 received
Not worried about Palantir. Just need some of their confidential business deals to go public so that people can realize just how big their impact really is.

That's why I never bought into Palantir stock.
It makes me laugh every time I heard about LMND thinking that they are better than legacy insurance companies. As an Pricing Actuary working in the industry, I can confidently say that the resource, the talents, the level of knowledge from the legacy insurers are 100x better than LMND, nobody is proud of doing ML is b.c nobody takes machine learning as a new thing except LMND….
Bottom line I should sell my lmnd and pltr shares monday?🤔

Coming from a commercial insurance producer here…. I’d never invest in a company that can only sit on 10% of written premium.

Also, reinsurers are charging higher premiums now because of the significant cat losses from around 2017 onwards, after years of soft markets where the insurers themselves were dictating pricing and lower limits.
