What's going on guys, It's Ricky protective Solutions And here with a super quick stock market Update: If you're asking the question, what is going on, why is the market reacting the way that it is, that's what I'm going to be trying to answer for you here in this video. Pretty much a break even day for me right now I'm up about 900 so far, but it continues to teeter-totter I Made some, uh, pretty poor trades in the very, uh, early start to the day. Um, as the NASDAQ Market if you tune out into today's actual CPI live stream, we saw that the NASDAQ Market was actually beginning to show signs of resistance I was green for a little bit and then it caught its support at that EMA and it continued to retest that 325 resistance. We did go up to highs of if you can see right on over here 325.72 and that was the overall highs of the day.

And then things really began to slow down for Nasdaq Now now we're kind of just teeter-tottering around this General support range that we've pretty much established from almost the open. Um, you know we were traced back here. We went back to retest. we were traced back here.

Went back to retest. We were traced back here once again. Uh, it's not like we're making super proactive lower lows and or higher highs as of right now. If anything, it's looking a little bit on the weaker side when it comes down to the Bulls because of this descending, uh resistance.

And if you look at the larger time frame, you can look at the four hour and see that we are very overbought. We are still bullish, but we are very overbought and the market just in my opinion, isn't reacting uh the way that I thought it really would, right? The the CPI data report, which is the inflation report that was released today was actually better than expect It right? And this is why we said it in yesterday's video. This is why we said it before the actual CPI data report um, would be released Is that sometimes it doesn't even matter what the report or how the report comes out, it matters ultimately, how the market reacts, right? We've seen it time and time again that it could come out better than expected. Market sells off comes out worse than expected Market Rises right? It's such a confusing time right now, but I wanted to break it down for you guys again.

I Want you guys to be self-sufficient so I want to show you what website I use and it's free and available to everyone here. It's Bls.gov Forward slash CPI it's the official U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics website. Uh, you guys can look up the Consumer Price induct you go under PDF Let's say if they finally release the PDF uh, nope, still not. Uh, that's still for the month of March Um, let me go ahead and pull up the HTML HTML as you guys can see all index um, all items and index.

So this is overall inflation came in at 4.9 percent the overall expectation. The forecast was five percent so again coming in lower than expected and core CPI which is all items less food and energy Rose to 5.5 and again that coming in pretty much as expected. Uh, with that 5.5 dropping from that 5.6 percent now I I Like to kind of share with you the key takeaways. So again, this is the new month that was added.
So for those that are unaware, all the CPI report is is inflation. It's tracking inflation month over month. It's super simple, right? So from March to April based off of these line items, did food go up or did it go down? Did food at home go up? Or did it go down And that's exactly what this tracks. and then it again just adds it all together for you based off of their specific formula And it came in at 4.9 percent.

So we saw a couple you know, increases. A couple couple decreases. The biggest decrease. The big two biggest decreases were utility gas pipe services with a drop of 4.9 percent and then right here fuel Oil dropped 4.5 percent.

The biggest increase that I was able to point out. Uh, was here with used car prices. Uh, this one actually was quite a surprise to me. Finally, car prices are beginning to find their bottom.

This is Huge for the car reselling. Market If you've seen your car depreciate time and time again since the peak of 2021, this is good news. meaning that finally, car prices are hopefully, uh, beginning to hit the bottom and establishing enough demand at those levels where we can begin to pick up at least a little bit or at least no longer drop right. And the only one that I saw that was a little bit on the larger side of things I was here was gasoline all types with an increase of three percent and then energy Commodities with an increase of 2.7 percent.

But again, if you ever have any questions about the CPI report on how to read a specific questions, message me on Instagram or message me on Discord I Don't know why you guys make it so confusing I Think it's because of my following that you guys feel like I won't respond I literally respond to all of my messages sometimes I do take I do take longer than expected but I want to be of value to you. So if you have any specific questions and if I can assist you, you know try to find it on Google if you can yourself. but if you can't send me a direct message on Instagram or on Discord and again it's all Linked In The description down below. but one of the last things that I do want to remind you is two things: Treasury Budget comes out at 2 Pm eastern time today and tomorrow we have PPI Data report and uh, core PPI which is the inflation on the producing side of things and there it goes.

Look at that. SQ Popping off there it goes. Four thousand dollars is what? I Just hit on the day. Let me go ahead and reduce this position just a little bit.

I'm going to reduce it by 5700 shares selling a part of my position. Let me see what we got here. I'm gonna sell it. Um, at 28.85 there it goes.

Let me set that that limit order boom and there it goes. locking in some of my profits, reducing my position size at overbought levels because we all know that the market is super choppy and during days like this, during specific inflation reports, these are not the days that you want to be greedy where you get caught from being green to Red. Fortunately, today I started off red and I'm ending in the green and I To me that's a positive takeaway regardless of even how small my green day is. Uh, remember I Do want to remind you guys.
we do have our free live trading session this Friday and we are giving away a thousand dollars during that live session. it is free to watch again. You guys liked it last week when we hosted it and gave away a thousand dollars. I'm gonna do it again this.

Friday You have to save your spot if you want to partake in it. and again, it's going to be the first link in the description down below. It's going to be this website. You save your spot.

You make sure that you select the date it should be two days from now. So the 12th of May and I'm happy to have you guys there and to see who wins 1 thousand dollars. Remember, don't forget to learn more about our GTR giveaway and if you have any questions about that, that is going to be the fourth Link in the description down below. If you want to learn more about it, there's only I think 25 days left.

Remember, if you have any questions, feel free to message me. Like always, let's make sure that we end the year on our green now.

take it easy team!.

The stock market's bonds motivated me to start investing. What counts, in my opinion, is that you will be able to live off of dividends without selling if you invest and make more money in addition to payouts. It suggests that you can give your children that advantage, giving them a head start in life. I've invested more than $600k throughout the years in dividend stocks; I'm still buying more today and will keep doing so until the price drops even further
