Time is money, you just gotta take the loss and get the project done. $200k is small change compare to a thriving business. From my own experience, budget overrun problems are never solved by waiting longer, it's actually the opposite, the longer you drag it out the more costly it's gonna get.
resale is going to be the issue with that house. its a million dollar garage so limited amount of people will want it. financially a warehouse made more sense but this is good content and he likes to work from the home as he showed with living with Burlacher that long.

Should of signed a building contract, then the price of the lumber would of been what it was when he signed it. It happens here all the time and businesses lose money but whatever people cant afford a 100% markup on wood.

If it was me I would see if I could leverage my following in a creative way to offset the extra costs, like seeing if any the companies want to gain a following in exchange for lower costs or possibly things for free. Leveraging what you do and have along with being creative with it can do some big things.
Could be as simple as letting someone use a car, just never know till you try and ask. Or say one the builders says help me start a channel get subscribers, that could save a lot and only cost him some time. And I feel if he told his fans what builder is doing they would help follow and watch.
