What’s the end game of these rallies exactly? Half of the people will make boatloads of money, while the other half eventually will be left holding the bag. As much as hedge funds who shorted some of these stocks got hammered, these rallies will make a lot of these targets of WSB (think executives of these failing companies selling massive amounts of their stock options at peak prices they’d never dream of, and other institutional investors like silver lake in the case of AMC converting $600M of their debt into stocks and generating massive gains), it seems to me more likely than not that more retail traders late to this WSB game at the end of the day will be left holding the bag.
