I started this channel as an example in YouTube Masterclass but decided to see where I could actually take it if I uploaded a single video every week for an entire year... Here's the #youtubegrowth that we got!

We did it what everyone and welcome back to a new video, Shawn's name and YouTube's the game today, one video a week for 52 weeks straight didn't miss a single one. Let's go now, if you have no idea what I'm talking about. Let me fill you in with some quick 30-second skinny. My name is Shawn.

My main YouTube channel has over three hundred thirty thousand subscribers. I created a YouTube masterclass lots of people really liked it. Then I wanted to put my money where my mouth was, so I created this channel and did exactly what I teach in my master class and boom. Here we are nine thousand subscribers laters six hundred and fifty thousand video views later and a bonus.

Fifteen hundred bucks later but again, most importantly, we did it the main goal for this entire twenty nineteen year was the post one video week every single Sunday, no matter how busy or how crazy my schedule was, and that something I like to call consistency and it's Hands-Down, the most important aspect you can do to grow on YouTube. Of course, there's hundreds of other things you want to do in conjunction with being consistent, which of course, is all in my master class, but this channel is living proof about the importance of consistency. Now we're all of my videos this year incredible quality, or were they all incredible, video ideas, I'll be honest with you? No no. They weren't there were some weeks where I was struggling to come up with just what I should make a video on or some weeks where I just didn't, want to spend the time, planning and filming and editing and doing all of that backend work that a lot Of people don't see that it takes to make a video videos take a tremendous amount of time in some weeks this entire year.

I struggled, but it doesn't really matter because 90 % of my videos this year were great quality and I really enjoyed putting them out there and that's really the important thing about this. Entire YouTube game is just putting out the content, so you can be successful plus. It feels really really good to set a goal at the beginning of a year and then to follow it to the she throughout the entire thing. It feels so good and with that Shawn I think you deserve a pat on the back, but thanks I'm not creepy, but okay.

I want to dive into what kind of specific metrics we got this year and maybe how you can replicate this on your own channel. Now I will say I didn't set any specific milestone goals for this entire year, because this year was really a guinea pig or a test drive for me, because I grew my initial channel years and years ago. So this channel was kind of an experiment to see what kind of growth is actually attainable these days, but I was planning on hitting about 10,000 subscribers in half a million video views, we got the video views, not quite these subscribers came up just a little bit Short, but that's okay! This was really just an iPod news to see what would happen throughout this entire experiment and here's why I had that 10,000 subscriber milestone kind of in my mind, because your first 10,000 subscribers on YouTube are the hardest subscribers to get hands down. So this year, roughly 10,000 and next year, I'm hoping for maybe 50,000 because YouTube is kind of a snowball and it's all about percentages and the more you grow.
The bigger and bigger the snowball gets so maybe 10k this year, maybe 50k. The next, and maybe a 100k the year after that, you really don't know, but just remember your first 10,000 subscribers are the hardest subscribers. You will ever get it's all about exponential growth and that's kind of why I preach a little growth. Now is super important because it leads to massive growth later down the line so yeah.

If you look at my videos in the YouTube studio, you'll see you know, I'm not biessing you. Every single video was published a week apart from each other, some perform better than others, but that's kind of the thing you're not going to get a viral video or even just a video that does well, if you're, not posting any videos at all. If you stick to your goal of weekly bi-weekly, try weekly whatever weekly goal that you have, you will eventually get a video that does well bottom line. You have to create content.

This is exactly how Casey nice that absolutely blew up on YouTube. The man can create some ballin content. We all know this, but if you look at his channel from his oldest videos, you'll see that he has quality stuff. But it was super inconsistent, which is why his channel didn't really blow up until he started doing his daily vlogs and not only that.

But he did his daily vlogs for like ever. I don't know how he stayed so consistent for so long. I'm convinced the man as a vampire. He does not sleep, it is what it is, but that's just it consistency.

I get so many people come to me and say Sean. I want to be famous on YouTube or Sean. I want to be making that six figures a year revenue on YouTube. You know how do I do it and I tell them specifically how it's done and when I tell them that it actually requires work and consistency, most people bail.

In fact, most people do not have the motivation or determination to actually set a goal on January 1 and actually carry it out for the entire year. Psychology Today actually does study a little while ago, which proved that 80 % of New Year's resolutions fail I'll make a video as to why that's the case in a week or so so. Uh subscribe dog. But I promise you and this channel is living proof - that if you set a goal and stay consistent on YouTube for an entire year, you will see growth and if you have a strategy, that's really good and you put a lot of time and effort into your Videos, you're gon na see way more growth than what my channel saw this year.

I only posted one video a week this year. Imagine if I posted two videos a week or if this was my full-time gig and I was focused solely on this YouTube channel. I could have easily tripled the results that I got, but looking back at it, I can't really complain for having two full-time jobs and a bunch of different side hustles. I think this channel did pretty well for the little time I was able to dedicate to it.
For this entire 2019, so with that, I want to say thank you so much for everyone. Who's been watching my videos throughout this entire 20 19 year means a lot to me. I'm super pumped and have some amazing things planned for 2020. There's actually gon na be a new channel trailer up on this YouTube channel in a little bit.

So I am super stoked. Hopefully you are too, hopefully you're gon na continue this journey with me and enjoy the content that I'm putting out and if you take anything at all from this video, please tell me it's the word. Consistency design a plan right now and stick to it and carry it out for the entire 2020. I guarantee you're gon na see some success, we're all gon na grow together, it's going to be a good year, but smash the like button on this video and definitely subscribe.

This is your last chance to do those things in 2019 and if you're watching this video in the future, then I still press those buttons all right see you in 2020, so I made put a hole in the wall. Well, Boop.

    Congrats,
Also thank you I think your videos have helped me get three times more subscribers this year than last year
Also how can I determine what is consistent for me because sometimes I can make one video a week sometimes I can make three and sometimes I can make none?
    How can I fix this?
