I often wonder if you're playing dumb with all this Putin stuff so you don't get banned or if you genuinely believe what you're saying.

If Russia was trying to setup military bases in Canada and Mexico they'd be deleted off the map in 24 hours.

Surely you're aware that the agreement after the cold war was that NATO would not move one inch to the east, go and look at how many countries are now in NATO or nato favoured countries, it's almost all of them.

Putin has said from day 1 his demands are, Ukraine promise to not join NATO, a promise for Ukraine to remain neutral in issues regarding Russia and NATO and for Ukraine to stop killing Russian civilians in the donbas, that all seems pretty reasonable doesn't it? But ukraine refuses to negotiate.

Russia essentially had 2 choices, let NATO and America do whatever they want and setup around Russia and let all surrounding countries join NATO while Russia does nothing or they could say enough is enough and do what they've done.

You must see all of this, which is why my I often wonder what your deal is.

i saw powell ….i heard putin …i dont know why everyone is insisting that the fed reverse the 13 trillion dollars they pumped in in 2020 and saved the economy from collapse …..the fed gives and the fed takes away like GOD….we are 32 trillion in debt now
the treasury bills must rise so the institutions can buy them from the fed as they rise and the stock market falls
you made one mention that i did not think of …which is the govt must cut spending ….as you see the brats that are in control are running wild with spending …and will continue as long as they have control …i think they will continue to squander if they win in midterms which they will because of roe vs wade

Putin makes predictable use of the “external enemy” tactic to remain popular with the Russian public despite his costly war to re-take Ukraine. He falsely claims that Nato forces pose a threat to the Russian people but the reality is that Nato forces oppose the Russian government, Putin’s government anyway. Nato members and their citizens would no doubt be happy to coexist and interact with a Russia whose actions did not take the form of military conquest. Unfortunately, most of the public is easy prey to false propaganda by those in power and readily support unnecessary wars of aggression if they are portrayed as defensive actions. We need look no further than American public support for the invasion of Iraq.

    Hey Tom

I have a great idea for the world how do we get it done…

We find an island nothing big but far the hell away from every other country.

Then we divide it in half

Give one half to Putin the other to Trump with whatever ever devoted dingbats wanna go with them……

Final step we create a YouTube live stream for it.

The world can watch the two biggest egomaniacs build their own little island war and picker amongst themselves…

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Wayne says:

I would not question the solidarity of Ukraine and its supporters to fight until they've regained their territory. Any talk of peace deals is moot until that objective is secured. Ukraine fully expects this war to continue a minimum of 9 more months, and the current administrations are on board with that timeline and beyond.

Putin threatened nuclear strikes from day one, and as the boy who cried wolf, no one cares what he says now. He will either use them and escalate to WW3 or not. I think it unlikely as he'll lose support from China the day he does. Breaking out the nukes when you have any other alternative just opens up the use for tactical nukes in general warfare & tactical nukes would be devastating to the Chinese Navy should it ever attack Taiwan while creating little to no damage or nuclear fallout to any other country.

As for Ukraine, it expects to re-take several key areas and then dig in for winter while cutting off Russian supply lines and depots to starve them out and hope they retreat. Once winter is over, an even more well supplied, trained, and fortified Ukraine will advance on the remaining territory.

In general, protests are rising inside Russia, former soviet blocks are testing the waters knowing that Russia is weakened (Armenia vs Azerbaijan), and Russia is running out of modern military equipment and trained fighters.

I'd say betting against the Russian/Ukrainian conflict extending another 6-9 months is a bad bet unless you think Putin is ready to remove all forces from Ukraine (including Crimea) and discuss a cease-fire or armistice. I don't think we're anywhere close to that yet.

Thanks for your video, I follow most of your content but don’t remember you discussing the equity risk premium and how certain strategists like Mike Wilson of Morgan Stanley are forecasting 3,000 to 3,300 on S&P 500. I think it’s an important topic to share with your community because it doesn’t look like there is only a small amount of downside risk from here. People need to hear how bad drawdowns can get and what institutional investors look for in terms of valuations before they switch from defensive to pro-risk mindsets.

Good luck and hope your family (especially anyone in Russia) keeps well
