Hi guys it's mark, as you may already know, i've set myself a challenge to make back the price of my car, the tesla model 3 before the end of the year. Of course, if i managed to complete this challenge i'll be giving away 5 000 to one of you guys, but only if you hit that like button during the last video in the series, we managed to save 21 701. So here's the plan i've seen lots of people driving around with adverts on their cars, and that got me thinking. If they're prepared to make their cars into mobile billboards, then they must be making some good money.

This is my old race car, which i managed to get sponsored back in the day and i think it looks pretty cool. So i'm going to be turning my tesla into a race car, which means i'll have to convince multiple brands to sponsor me. I'm also going to be completely transparent about the whole process and even reveal how much i make if you couldn't tell i've been out of the car racing game for quite a few years now. So i need to get some advice from someone who is currently racing cars for a living and who, better than my friend jake hill, who is one of the best racing drivers in the uk he's also one of the smallest.

Now i know with your motorsport: you have to raise finance, don't you inform a sponsorship? So how would you go about that? Do you think anything from that will help us? Definitely i mean i can definitely give you some tips to. You know help you try and achieve what you're going to achieve, but at the same time it is very hard mark. You know it's um, it has been. The toughest part of my career has been the sponsorship and partnership element of it, the driving part, that's the easiest, the driving part, so you're bang.

On on that, the thing for me, i've learned is that every sponsor or partner is individual in their needs for being involved with me and with the team, and it could be hospitality driven. It could be exposure driven so just having the the sponsor's name on the car, or it could be the fact they just want to be involved. You know it can be lots of different variants really, and obviously all of that depends also on what sort of investment they're willing to put into it all as well. So there's lots of different ways of going about it and, like i said, every sponsor is different.

Well, the problem is, we haven't, got um spectators around the circuit. We've definitely not got hospitality. Well. First of all, i think it's important that anyone can do it.

You know you just have to have the right angle and the right plan of attack for doing this. You know so, do you think we can do this jake? Am i pie in the sky as usual, or do you think this is possible? This is going to be a tough one mark. You know, there's no two ways about it. Getting any type of sponsorship is always hard.

You know, you've really got to have the right plan and the right way of attacking, but i still think there's a possibility. We can get it done. So maybe this isn't going to be as easy as i first thought, but i still think we can do it. The first step i'm going to take is making a big list of companies that i want to work with.
A good tactic i use is to include companies that i've seen advertising on social media. As i know, they've got a good budget at this stage. I'm just going to note down every company that pops into my head, so we have a lot of different options. I might even be cheeky and stick my own company on there.

The next step is what i call the filter stage. Now i've got this massive list of potential sponsors. I need to be very honest with myself about what i can offer them. A big mistake: lots of people make is just thinking about what they want from the brand and not what they can offer the company at the end of the day.

If you can provide value to them, then they're going to be happy to pay you in return. So if i can't think of a way that i can help the company, then i'm not going to waste their time. There are so many ways to position yourself to help a company such as using your skills to create videos, write reviews or even advertising their products. On your car, really anyone can do this as long as you play to your skills and strengths.

Now it's time to make contact. This will just involve digging around on different websites to find the right people to reach out to usually it's best to find someone working in the marketing department. Let me share with you one of the emails that i'm going to be sending out hey there. Fiverr has always struck me as a company that supports entrepreneurs with out-of-the-box ideas.

I run a youtube channel dedicated to entrepreneurs and investors, and we have a mission to turn my tesla into a race car. With the help of the sponsors, i feel like it'd, be great exposure for fiverr to be involved, i'm attaching an outline of the blank design. Let me know if you're interested, then i just left a link to my youtube channel. Hopefully, this email should align my goals with theirs.

I also think it's important to attach visual things like the design, as it really helps separate this email from others, they're, probably receiving every day. It also builds a dream of having their company name on the car. I'm going to reach out to about 10 companies in total and i'll check back with you in a few days, we're not interested at this time, but thank you for reaching out we're not moving forward at this time. I totally trust you mark.

I always want to just say yes every time. You call me, i think, for this one though i have to be strong and probably say no, not a fit for us, but thanks for reaching out, although i can see the benefits, maybe right now, just isn't it a great time. Thank you for reaching out, but we're gon na pass. I think it's important to show this as rejection isn't easy to deal with.

When i started my first company, i put everything into my business plan and i knew it would succeed, but i got turned down for the funding i needed. What frustrated me even more was that my friends were getting student loans with no questions asked. I didn't give up, though, and i went to another bank and luckily that bank manager believed in me in the vision that i had, and you know what that business went on to make me a millionaire. So i'm not going to give up after a few negative emails.
As i know not everyone will see my vision and the opportunity to them, but i don't need them to all. I need is a few brands that want to try something new and exciting. I did actually get back a few promising emails, so it's time to jump on some video calls, as i always like to speak, face to face i'll. Tell you guys what i really like about this right.

Five is a marketplace for freelance services, as you know, um, and you know, there's other marketplaces out there. Some of the things that differentiate us is the speed of use right. You can hire a freelancer in over 500 categories in one click, but we got speed. I mean a lot of our users on public app actually loves talking about tesla, so this is definitely a very creative way to actually talk about public talk about the social uh, investing app public in the stock market, so very interesting.

Well, it's quite a novelty because you know not many people have taken a tesla and turned it into sort of a race car with all the sponsorship and everything i think it's it's totally a great fit for public. What we do like to do those we always like to give something back to our subscribers as well, so is there anything fiverr can do that we can give to our subscribers. I'm sure we can arrange a promo code. We can send it over.

You can put it in the description in your videos. Well, what calling can do is we can provide free stocks for our investors? Does that sound good to them? I'll tell you what that is fantastic, that's exactly what we'd be looking for. If you want to pick up that free stock worth up to 100, then i'll leave a link in the description. How much do you think you could come up with for sponsoring us good question, you're, putting me on the spot uh, i think uh.

What sort of a map do you think you could? You could offer us for this title sponsorship? I think it would be reasonable. So now i just need to finalize all the contracts. Sometimes deals can fall apart at this point, but i'm pretty confident with the discussions. We've had because we all seem to be on the same page once everything's been signed, i'll, be able to reveal the card to jake and also share with you how much money we've made towards our target.

So i've asked jake to meet us at a mystery location. In one week's time, so the clock is ticking so mark has asked me to meet him here at some random airfield, for what i can only assume is probably going to be a showdown against the tesla. So i'm not messing around. I've bought my r32 gtr running.
Just under 600 horsepower but at the same time really excited to see what the tesla's going to look like. I think i can see him just coming in now and oh wow, he looks great. You see him coming around. Look at that.

That looks pretty cool. Isn't it how about that then jakey boy? Does that look like a race car of the future or what, ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce to you the future future, so mark you've done a fantastic job here. The car looks great. The sponsors are awesome, so you've managed to get a lot of sponsors on board, which is fantastic.

I mean. Can you tell me how much you made? Well, i can't tell you individually how much each one gave us, because that would be giving the game away totally, but we actually managed to raise in total 34 780. So i think we should get out there and we should have a race yeah. Let's do it.

You're going to get changed i'll, see you on the runway cool. So here we are. We are on the runway, i'm alongside marking the tesla very exciting. Isn't it no jump in the start? So, let's see if i can beat him off the line, are you ready mark? It's been a long time coming.

This we've got a big bit of runway ahead of us first gear, yet i'm ready three, two one go that how cool was it as well? You just managed to pull up pull a bit on me. I think i had the wetter side of the runway, putting my excuses in early yeah with the race that we're doing, i can't quite get there and those gear changes. I could see you dipping away from me every time you had to change gear. Of course, there's no gear change with this.

It's just talk. Talk, talk, brilliant, absolutely lovely. It was worth the wait well done, should we do it again to get the final profit from this video. We have to subtract our costs, which were the car, wrap the higher the airfield and jake's lunch, which was a happy meal, so it didn't cost us too much and he got a free toy.

This all added up to 2550, so subtracting that from the sponsorship that gives us thirty, two thousand two hundred and thirty dollars, so taking into account the previous video on the tax savings. We now only have fifteen thousand six hundred and twenty nine dollars left to hustle back. Remember if i managed to do this, then i'll be giving away five thousand dollars to one of you guys as a celebration. So i'm going to leave the next video up there, but don't click on it just yet make sure to subscribe to the channel to be in with a chance of winning and don't forget to pick up your free stocks with the links below okay i'll see you Over there.

Is the sponsorship under a contract for set amount of time? I wouldn’t had expected that much money for such a small thing.

I just bought bought a brand new 2021 Honda Type R and I've been wanting to get into racing. I think it'd be sweet to be able to find some sponsors so I can be able to do what you did in this video. That wrap looks beautiful, where did you get it done at?
