Taking a big loss is one of the hardest things to deal with as a Trader no matter your experience level. Uh, because a big loss is bigger than it should have been, right? And so the best way that I've found to deal with a big loss immediately following it is instantly take off the rest of the day. If you took that loss early in the day and then subsequently to take off the next day as well, let your mind get clear and if you need to take off more time, that's fine, but get away completely from the markets. The last thing you want to be thinking about is taking another trade to make back that loss.

I Know it sounds counterintuitive like, well, why wouldn't I want to make back that loss? What if there's another great setup that comes along that I could have hit guaranteed that will happen right? You're going to leave the screens and you're going to see a trade that could have made back that loss. But you're going to see hundreds of other trades too that would have lost you a lot more money and you would have had to play that one Perfect. So take a break from the screens, clear your head, and then come back with a clear mind, a clear conscience.
