I'm just starting out with stock trading but I only have $2000 in my Ameritrade account. Do you recommend day trading ETF's in particular? Also I hear Ameritrade doesn't allow for day trading unless it's a cash account. I'm not sure what that is. I was going to attempt to put in an order to buy a stock low and then sell high on Energy Transfer LP.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question but, Why don't my limit orders buy at the set limit? For example I put a limit order in for TSLA at 220.00. The 1st day it said I bought at 219.17, but now it says I bought at 221.37..
All my stocks through ameritrade have been this way.. Is that just how limit orders work in general or is this just an ameritrade thing? I thought the whole point of setting a limit was to avoid any unexpected costs/loss of shares?
