Hello, everyone and welcome back to a new video showing the name and YouTube's the game. Today, I feel, like I haven't, said that in a while, because we've been doing a lot of personal finance, stuff and personal development type videos, but back at it again with some YouTube tips and tricks. Today, I want to talk about an upload schedule. How often should you be uploading to YouTube to get the best results, and by results I mean to get the most new subscribers and views, and all this other great stuff to be successful on YouTube like? Is it monthly, bi-weekly weekly every other day daily, five times a day like what is it, and I get this question all the time from people who are either thinking about starting YouTube or they just started YouTube and they're, not seeing the growth they want, and they Always say why am I not growing, I'm uploading every single day, no one's watching my videos, you know how often should I be uploading.

So if you want that golden answer to get your channel to a hundred thousand, subscribers then hit that like button and also strap in because we're about to rock and roll okay. So if you want to quick answer to this question, then I'm gon na give it to you right away Sean. How often should I be uploading to my youtube channel to get the best results possible and my answer it depends. It depends on so many things like how big your channel is, how much time it takes you to make a video, how much free time you have to dedicate towards YouTube.

What kind of content you make I mean there's so many factors that gets put into deciding how often you should upload to get the best possible results for your channel. So sorry, there's no one set in stone answer. That's gon na get you to a hundred thousand subscribers, because every channel is different on YouTube. You are different than the guy next to you, so we got to go over a few of the factors to help you understand how often you should actually be uploading to your channel and by the end of this video, you should have a really good grasp on How often you key word, you should be uploading to your channel because again, every one is different.

Oh and real, quick. I break this topic down into even more depth into my YouTube. Masterclass I'll leave a link down below, but I've gotten over 2500 students above the ten thousand subscriber mark with that course. So if you want more information on that link down below, but let's start to tackle this big question in three main determining factors one which is the most important thing, is: how big is your channel when people start out on YouTube, they see the big dawgs in The communities we're talking about the dough bricks, the paws, the nice tats, the the really big dogs on the platform and they're uploading all the time, so everyone's watching those videos going, oh the fastest way to be successful, is just to upload as many videos as I Can yeah I'm not quite the reason those big dogs upload? So much is because just that they are big dogs.
Okay, you can kind of expect on a good day, on a good day, to get anywhere from seven to ten percent of your total subscriber count in views on any given video that you upload. So when one of those massive channels uploads a video and they get say only 10 % of people to watch it - that's still over a million views. If you were to upload a video when you're starting out and only 10 % of your subscribers watch, you're gon na get like three views: your mom, your dad and your dog. So you really need to think about that when you go to create your next video and that's not necessarily a bad thing, that a small percentage actually watches your videos but think about.

If you were to text a hundred people, a link to go watch a video. How many of those people would actually go? Watch probably 10. I think 10. We go watch the other 90 day, yeah I'll get to it I'll watch it I'll watch it.

But then, the next day you sent him another link and you say: go watch this video and they're like well. I haven't watched the first video you sent me, but I guess I'll go watch this one now and not watch the first one. So that's kind of why you don't want to be over posting when your channel is so small. Now the big dawgs post so much because they've got so many people and they want to upload as many times as possible because the more shots they take at the target.

You know the closer and closer they get to actually hitting the target because, again the more shots you take, the more you land, so that's kind of how it works. The bigger your channel, the more you can upload the smaller Channel. You don't want to spread your audience too thin, but then the number two determining factor that you kind of want to think about is do your videos or does your channel style have any type of continuity between each video? Are you doing a series or do they relate to each other heavily, for example like if you're a gaming channel or a vlogging channel or any type of channel, where you upload an episode one and then an episode two and then an episode three and each video Kind of piggybacks off the one you posted previously, then you're going to kind of want to upload more often because you want to think of it like a Netflix show, when you start a Netflix show, you can't just watch just one episode once you watch the first One you're gon na watch the second and the third and the fourth and 180 second, so if your channel fits this kind of box - and you do want to upload more often, I want to give you one more example. Think of this, like a big TV show like Game of Thrones, for example, when Game of Thrones releases a new season, they upload their episode 1 and there's usually only about a week before the next episode now imagine if they uploaded episode.

1. Everyone's, like oh man, I'm glued I'm glued to this series to this season, and then they didn't upload the second one until a month later, then, by the time you watch the second one you're like well, I totally forgot what happened in the first episode. I don't know it's taken too long. I can't get involved, I can't keep up and then they don't watch.
So you don't want that to happen with your channel. If your videos do have continuity, then you want to be bringing regular content to keep people engaged. It doesn't necessarily mean you upload every single day, but you might want to upload more often than not and real quick previously on a gaming channel of mine, I would typically upload a series at least twice a week or three times a week, so you can keep People engaged and kind of keep it into kind of like a routine or even a better example is The Bachelor. You know how many girls get together and watch The Bachelor.

Every time a new episode gets released, you kind of want to build a routine with your audience and if you're consistent and you get a good schedule locked in place, then that's how you're gon na achieve that and then piggybacking off that my third one, which again Is incredibly important and that determining factor is: is it sustainable if you've been around this channel for some time? You'll know that I am a huge notes, proponent of consistency. Consistency is king on YouTube. If you could take one thing away from an eight hour online course that I have that's also linked down below the one word you should take away from that entire thing is consistency. If you are consistent on YouTube, you will succeed, so you need to develop a schedule or an upload kind of routine that is sustainable to your life.

If it takes you 15 hours to make a video, then you cannot be uploading daily. Okay, you need to really think about how much times are gon na. Take me to make this video without sacrificing quality, and how often am I gon na be able to do that. You know because I've got whether it's family or work or extracurricular activities or whatever you do in your day to day life.

You need to decide what kind of upload schedule is going to fit in my life, so I can stay consistent and I don't miss and upload. When I set my schedule, this channel is living proof of that statement. Okay, I uploaded one video week for 52 weeks straight in all of 2019 and I got some amazing growth throughout the year and I actually made a recap: video at the end of 2019, if you haven't watched that video I'll leave a link down below. But I cannot stress this enough that consistency is king on here.

So if you can only upload once every two weeks, because your your schedule is crazy busy, then that's okay, but stick to it. Do not miss that video every two weeks or if you have more time - and you say you know I can upload every other day is all I do all I do is YouTube, then upload every other day and stick to it. What you don't want happening and it's what I see so much of is people will be all gung-ho and fired up out there new YouTube channel and they're. Like I'm gon na post.
You know a video every single day and I'm amped up, and you know it's gon na happen and I'm gon na do it and no one's stopping me and you do it for like two months and you're like I'm, crushing it. But then, after two months you don't get the growth you're really looking for and you kind of lose motivation a little bit. Then all sudden life slaps you in the face or something crazy happens in your life and you're like well. I guess I can't really upload to YouTube anymore, so I'll just give up on that dream, then what was the point of uploading every single day for two months straight? You are much better off taking a conservative approach and going you know, I probably can do two videos a week right now, but I'm just gon na start with doing one a week and I can add in bonus videos.

You know there's no problem with adding in more videos to your channel, but you want to stick to a schedule and say this is exactly how much I'm gon na be uploading this month, no matter what so bottom on just set a sustainable upload go okay, so With all three of these factors combined, what I tell probably 75 % of people when they start out on YouTube, is to just set a goal to upload once a week: okay, but make sure it's sustainable. If you can only upload once every two weeks, that's fine but upload once a week you're just starting out, you don't have a big fan base. So you don't really need to be uploading more than once a week unless you're like a vlogging channel, and you want to upload like three times a week, and you really want people to know about your life. Then that's fine, but once a week is fine.

When you're starting out and once you start growing more and more, you can just start pushing that. I'm gon na upload two videos this week, one the next after that one, the next and just start mixing it in until you can finally do for sure two a week for sure three a week for sure for a week and then eventually you'll get up daily. Like all these big dogs out there and you'll be really pumping and rolling on YouTube, but you don't want to spread yourself or your audience too thin when you're starting out again bottom line. Consistency is king.

I say it like ever YouTube tips and tricks video, because it's you important and it's a lot harder than you think this channel is living proof. You know I uploaded, I think, 60 videos in a row every single week on this channel and then I got sick and missed a week and then I uploaded one and then I missed a few weeks and it gets really challenging him. I'm not saying it's easy at all, but again set yourself up for success, but that's really the breakdown of how often you should be uploading to youtube. So leave me a comment down below with your channel.

If you want some kind of personal feedback I'll try to check out some of the comments check out some of your channels and let you know kind of what I think you know how often you should be uploading but see. I leave me a comment down below. If you found this video helpful at all, I would really appreciate it and hit that like button and definitely subscribe for more YouTube tips and tricks. I have a massive playlist of a bunch of really great content linked down below, but otherwise I will see you in the next video.

Iโ€™ve been doing daily streams since October and gained nearly 600 subscribers, so I would recommend doing streams everyday, I had about 20 subs when I started doing daily so it doesnโ€™t really matter and now Iโ€™m getting quite a lot of subscribers per stream, and even got recognised by some more famous people like Avisk (7K subs) and LisboKate (180K subs) just keep doing YT everyday and donโ€™t stop, once I took a 3 week break from YouTube due to wifi and slot 3/4 of my regular viewers, I got them back now but just you donโ€™t want to risk it
