Just work for the IRS, 80 Billion put towards them, should be good job security.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars borde02 says:

Well if salaries didn't keep up with inflation, this means that real wages went down. If real wages go down companies should hire more people because labour is cheaper.

From what I'm seeing companies are preparing for possible ww3 and moving production out of China and back into the US. That takes extra cash on hand. Could this be a reason for the early lay offs?

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GuppyPal says:

Something I haven't seen talked about much is that with the new paradigm of remote work being commonplace, it's easier than ever for highly skilled, competent, ambitious people to get hired anywhere, sometimes even having multiple full-time jobs. Meanwhile, less skilled and/or less ambitious people are going to have a harder time getting employed because their pool of competition is higher than ever and not restricted to whoever is in their local vicinity. It has always been a good idea to develop marketable skills, but it is more important than ever before now.

I have a company and I just down sized by half! Not because of the economy but bad workers…

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars riskbusin3ss says:

Graham not realizing the unemployment number it doesn’t not capture the whole picture. It doesn’t count the number of ppl drop out of labor force during Covid or who choose early retirements, it only counting whose actively looking for a job.

It suddenly occurred to me that it would be poetic justice if the 287,000 new IRS agents get to audit their former employer.

Is anyone else noticing how all these comments about Amazon's AMZ50P always puts it in bold and says vaguely the exact same thing? Is there a bot in the room?

the inflation and recession is real you need to decide which to hold and I think AMZ50P does better
