I thought in 2008, adjustable rate mortgages were among the causes of the housing market crash. Now adjustable mortgage is about 8% of all mortgages, but before the market crashed in 2007, they were at 36%.

Knew the market was going down after CPI report today. Thought It was gonna get dumped when market opened and rally after. So I bought couple of QQQ puts yesterday expecting no more then 20% return. Instead, got over 100% returns.

We must also understand that bitcoin never reached its blow-up top as it did in the previous bull cycle. The current market condition seems like the crypto market has deviated from its historical norms. No amount of historical data or charting can predict the direction of the crypto market. What we can do at this time is to watch the market play out. Making trading decisions based on historical data at this moment is nonsensical. The Fed uses the cooked BS CPI with fake rents and housing prices that don't even exist. If they used actual rents and prices, it would be near 20% CPI even last year… so that's why we are here so late in the cycle dealing with this shit. The Fed is the cause OF ALL OF THIS, period. They create the currency, which is what inflation is.
Why would you aggressively pay off debt in the high inflation environment? Isnt it the best time to have debt? Or do you mean non-mortgage debt?
