Federal Reserve President of the Dallas Fed, Robert Kaplan, gave an interview to Fox Business today 5-1-2020 on his thoughts on further stimulus and stimulus checks. Remember, Congress looks to the Federal Reserve for insights on the market.
What about further stimulus: We can’t replace things like lost income, unemployment, and aid to state/local governments. We’re going to need stimulus “going into the rest of the year AND into next year” so we can grow faster, so we can work down this unemployment rate. We need Congress to provide that additional stimulus, the fiscal authority (fiscal is government spending vs monetary which is bank lending, like the Fed).
Robert Kaplan believes the second quarter is going to suffer a severe contraction (April, May, June). He’s pretty clear: we need more stimulus. Our economy did have issues before hand, but the consumer is the biggest part: 70%. The consumer had a “body blow.” They’re the ones who need help, essentially - he’s basically saying that the consumer is the one who cannot be helped by the Fed and Congress needs to do that. He also gave his opinion on the oil crisis, oil production, and long-term interest rates. In fact, he brought up disinflation and the concerns over inflation in the future.

Are you aware sir, that the IRS and The U S Treasury, OWN, most of the BANKS in America? Why? They don’t give businesses, money for, FREE! They, OWN them in order to bail out a business. That’s, RIGHT! You sign over your business to them, they float you your money monthly to make sure, you can still operate a public need service for local citizens. Their name goes on the business license document under, owner, business name, business President/owner, or founder, and this appears on that paper document above everything else: dba/ First Foot Bank, OWNED BY: IRS and U S Treasury.

As a senior citizen, I am more than concerned for the country. I still haven’t received my first stimulus; obviously convoluted for the elderly and disabled who should have been on the first run . I know , I know redundancy speaking but hearing this new information, I am scared. Plain and simple. Will we be lost in the chaos despite the reassurance “ any day now yr ck will come”!
