So, Elon Musk just fired a whole bunch of top Twitter executives "for cause”. On Thursday, Elon fired CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal and both the chief legal officer and the general counsel of twitter. One theory out there right now is that Elon Musk fired the executives "for cause" to try and avoid paying them severance payouts and unvested stock grants. So, how likely is Elon to avoid having to pay these 100 million dollars?

Its a bad look . Looks like he will not stick with a deal.
And he will have to pay in the end .

Tom, if the evidence should be proven to affect Twitter’s evaluation then they, the board and theoretically the shareholders may owe Elon and the banks money.
Meaning the agreement for Twitter should be null and void ab initio. Ergo we are back to the re- evaluation of Twitter and therefore if the price should go down it would be Elon and the banks that are owed and the Gang of Four will end up with nothing, zero, think about it. What say you???

Because Elon Musk is exactly the expert in Twitter business! He formed Paypal and knew what this internet stock Twitter is running ! Why spend more money and time in future to feed these people without productivity & only did a lot aginst him ?

Based on the Intercept article, they clearly manipulated data and algorithm in partnership with the DOJ to manipulate elections which is illegal on both sides and unconstitutional. Then add in what he's tweeting about and he's going to expose it all.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars NeuroPilot says:

Here's the thing, Elon would have access to a lot more data post-Acquisition than when he tried to exit the deal, with the lawsuit pre-Acquisition.
He may have a very good idea where to find the proof he needs.

Highly likely Elon is just being petty

No Elon knows there's illegal stuff going on there everybody knows it

One problem in this path is that if Twitter is truly responsible for misleading advertisers via false metrics, that might expose the company to a flood of lawsuits by advertisers. And that's not so good for the company.

Elon – Hmmm, this narrative of a naked Meth Ninja infiltrating the billionaire subdivision without triggering 1000 of the most state of the art cameras and motion sensors; then breaking into the Pelosi Estate without tripping any alarms… it sounds a bit…. fishy…

    Snowflakes – REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

what some are forgetting is that major company "law"firms has "fixers" (lawyers) on staff. their job is to know where the money, the data is hidden. and crush any lawsuit against the company. just like a defense lawyer, the client can tell his lawyer he is totally guilty but the lawyer can not say anything. and some "fixers" will help hide the facts, money, data, or at least tell the client where to go to do such things if they are paid enough.

This feels like a mega-scum move from Musk.
With his current decision making around the Twitter acquisition, I would not be surprised if the scheme fails.

Elon plays 4D chess, likely he got some new info from his employee meetings last Friday.

as always a great breakdown and analysis, honestly I was not in favor of that deal but I do believe he has a plan simply because he is the sort of person who will not start something { especially something as big as this } unless he has a plan and most likely a plan B' and a plan C' just in case..
honestly I would rather have Elon try and buy "Boston dynamics"..

Publicly traded companies are under scrutiny by, e.g., the SEC, so I doubt the Board Members had been doing anything that would put their positions/severance packages at risk. Knowing Musk, he likely ignored his own lawyers and decided to seek revenge for the buy out battle is my guess. This takeover by Musk smells really, really bad. I think the battle we saw pre-buyout is a small taste of the long war that Musk will have with the remaining employees, the government, the users, etc. History and Karma tell us that Musk's way of taking over Twitter seldom has a good ending. I'll guess Twitter declines in active users and is sold at a fraction of Musk's purchase price in 6-12 months.

If you want MORE damn good reasons why Elon fired them, Tim Pool did a video hours ago as some other MONSTROUS and ILLEGALITIES they were involved in. Elon will win ANY case those bums bring, but they know they're f**ked.
