Let's say you own the richest house on the street and you've been surrounded by not so friendly neighbors… Why don't you organise a referendum on that street to give your mansion away to your neighbors. Why don't we then do similar referendums on other streets (Latvia, Lithuania and other places)? I'm not Ukrainian btw, but his perspective seems v shallow. I don't need to be ukranian to know that even my country would put him as a threat if he out of nowhere incited civilians to split the country in half or require independence, and the worse of both sever a part of the country to unite it with another country. Even USA would try their way to put him under severe limitations if he offered a question if a part of the country would prefer to belong to Canada. In the whole question about war, Elon is indirectly on the side of Russia, there are bias in his questions, is like every country that USA went on war, should today belong or recognised as a state of USA, the same could be used by China in future, any country it might decide to invade, should automatically belong to China since they will have way more soldiers and weapons. Elon should be out of the story, it has nothing in there, otherwise there is and he is not being entirely honest, but only time will tell.

I think western public opinion is secretly shifting from supporting Ukraine to finding a way out, just not so publicly, smart politicians will be quick to pick up. I’m all for Ukraine people, but if they are smart, they should make a deal when on the winning side, Us and Europe will make big efforts to help them rebuild their country, thanking them for not dragging the world into nuclear catastrophe, while Russians watching with envy. The other scenario is not as pretty, if Ukraines piss off those who are helping, will they be able to get what they want?

Like your videos Kevin, but it seem like you are protecting him. Sometimes we all say stuff people disagree with and I think Ellon just did. Would the US loose part of their own coutry to stop a conflict on their land? I don't think so. Sometimes we just should be quiet or get the heat for our worlds. Still like Ellon, what he is doing for the world, but still can strongly disagree with some stuff he is saying!

Appeasement (the idea that the aggressor should get some territory to make them happy and prevent a world war, basically what Musk is suggesting) sounds reasonable at first. It was tried before WW2 and not only did it not stop Hitler, it made the war a lot worse by giving him a better starting position.

I think everyone in my generation is so worried about fighting against any form of modern nazism whether social or political they don't consider any other consequences or problems. While it isn't likely if the Russians are truly low on conventional weapons and equipment they may use low yield nukes to try and show all the cards are going in their hands. But if Patreus is correct we would use all conventional weapons to destroy the Russian forces outside of their borders as a response, crippling their military would result in them using strategic nukes. I really do support the Ukrainians fight for their independence and their right to maintain their land and borders, but if the world is destroyed ss we know it even in a strike without hitting major metropolitan areas is it worth it to push the old unstable people in power? Everyone especially the Ukrainians hope it is a bluff, but I suppose for them they are dead if the Russians seiz their land and dead if they take back every last acre to only have nukes fall on them. Damned I'd you do, damned if you don't. 🤷♂️
