What's up everybody welcome back to the channel today we're going to talk about another, yes, another american express benefit that has been added to the platinum card in the recent days. Actually, it started on october 7th, which is my birthday, so that was pretty cool. You know. I had a i had.

You know a conference with american express and i was like we got ta spice this card up, even more i'm just kidding they ain't calling me i ain't talking to them. I ain't that big. Yet so it's starting on october, 7th um. These new benefits with this new benefit.

There is another one and i'll make another video about it, but i wanted to focus on the walmart benefit. So let's get right into this video if you're new here my name is walter. So you don't miss any other videos, any other updates, and this is on walmart.com okay. So this is courtesy of walmart.com and uh walmart and american express bring walmart plus to the platinum car. Okay. So now they have a partnership where american express card holders will now get 155 dollars per year for their american express card, which is pretty cool, so pretty much.

What you're gon na get with this credit um. So us consumer platinum card members who use their card to purchase a monthly walmart plus membership, can receive a statement, credit which covers the full cost of the membership 12.95 a month plus applicable taxes, um and as walmart plus members. You get uh the full suite of walmart plus benefits that give you free shipping, with no minimum order on items sold and shipped by walmart free delivery from eligible walmart stores and more. According to the amex trindex.

Three and four adults report they've spent more on online shopping in the past year compared to previous years. Okay, so obviously we've all spent more money online in the most recent years. So yes, because of the pandemic, people don't want to go out. There was a lot going on.

It was just easier just to shop online, a lot of things weren't in stores a lot of things you had to get online. So, yes, it makes sense, um that online shopping has gone up. It's not just walmart, it's definitely amazon. I don't know about you, but my amazon purchases have been through the roof and it's now it's just like a normal for me.

I even have certain uh water that i like um. I don't that i need to get delivered to my house on a two-week basis. So yeah, it's gotten worse, um online is really like the way to go um. So now, let's just talk about how you can enroll in this or if you need to enroll on the american express page that i'm looking at on um my online banking account.

You don't have to click enroll like with some other services. Right now, this looks like you just go to um walmart.com plus slash amex platinum.com. If you already have a walmart account, you just go ahead for your monthly membership and you sign into walmart plus and it'll automatically credit you every time you use it. It'll just trigger it.

So that's cool. Obviously it says it takes six to eight weeks after the membership is charged to the account to receive a credit, but guys it never takes six to eight weeks. It barely takes six to eight days where amax are really quick. You'll see the credit trigger on the account in a few days a few business days.

So that's how you do it um here's my thoughts though, and my guy dustin over at wall as well, and i'm sure you guys, if you've seen the channel, if not go, check them out. Coupon was what he used and uh it's it's true. It's it's becoming more and more of a coupon and it's not like it's coupon for travel, because i'd be probably all for it, because that's why i got the card originally, but now it's like lifestyle. It's lifestyle, entertainment shopping, travel! It's like the all-around card.

I really think we are going to get another card that is bigger of an annual fee than the platinum card, probably in the thousands, maybe 1500. Maybe a thousand two thousand dollar range, but less than centurion, because you know that's invite only that's the black car and that card is going to be tailored to the utmost people who love to travel and that's it. Obviously the centurion cards, another level um. But it's invite only like i said so you're going to have that next card, like right above platinum, but below centaurian, that's going to be all travel.

At least that is my predictions, and i actually hope so, because i'd rather spend more money on that card than continue to spend money on this card and the travel benefits are great, but i would love to just see more. It just seems like every time. I turn around there's another credit for a gym or entertainment, or something like that and that's cool and all, but i didn't get this car for that. I got this car for travel.

I want to see more travel benefits. Get added like airline status. Give me delta silver status complimentary for having one of the cards or something yeah. I have to pay a higher annual fee, but at least i feel like i can get my money's worth but question of the day.
