If you're watching this video chances are, you already know some of the benefits that credit cards have, but the question is what offers are the best currently and what should you be looking to apply for now in this video we're going to cover five of the best Credit card offers that you do not want to miss out on to help save you time. I've done all the research, so you don't have to and together we'll be covering the card's expected value rate. The current welcome bonus and even mention recommended credit scores. So you don't get denied, even if you want the card before we get started with this video, if you enjoy the good old credit card content, make sure you give that like button, a gentle tap.

So i know this type of content is something you enjoy watching. Now i know, we've been doing a lot more investing content lately. I just want to say i haven't forgotten about my loyal credit card subscribers. So with that being said, let's just get straight into the video and thank you so much for tuning by to start.

The first card on this list is going to be the chase freedom flex and the chase of freedom. Unlimited both cards have no annual fee, meaning if you pay off the card in full every month, you'll never have to pay a single dime to these card companies and you can reap all of the rewards. Both cards offer five percent on travel purchased through the chase. Ultimate rewards portal: three percent back on dining at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery services and three percent back on drugstore purchases.

When comparing the freedom, unlimited and the freedom flex, i personally find the freedom flex way more valuable than the unlimited, because the unlimited it just offers you 1.5 back on your purchases, while the freedom flex still gives you. Those quarterly earning select bonus categories that most people can find value in. Looking back at the historic data on the chase freedom quarterly categories, the first quarter of 2020, we had gas stations, internet, cable and phone services on top of select streaming services as well. In quarter two, we had grocery stores fitness clubs and gym memberships.

In quarter three, we had amazon and whole foods while quarter four. They offered five percent back for paypal and walmart purchases for the year of 2021. So far we had internet, cable and phone and streaming services in addition to wholesale clubs. Now in quarter, two which one now for 2021, we have gas stations and home improvement stores.

I understand that a handful of my viewers may already have the older regular chase freedom card. So let me explain to you what your options are and what i recommend, because i know there's a ton of confusion about product changes and applying for the flex. Knowing you have the older card, so listen up. If you already have the older chase freedom card, you definitely want to make sure you upgrade to the newer version of the flex so you're getting all the additional benefits that chase went ahead and added this past year.
You can do this by either calling chase and requesting a product change, or you can submit a new application for the chase freedom flex and keep both. I recommend you to apply for the chase freedom flex instead of requesting a product change, so you're eligible for the 200 bonus after 500 spent in three months, and also so. You can still have that zero percent intro apr for 15 months. If you product change, your original freedom account and you won't be considered a new applicant, therefore meaning you won't get any of the free bonus promotions.

No annual fee cards are great for any beginners or people on a budget, because you don't have to stress about the break even fee associated with that card. This means your expected value, for the card is 200 minimum for the welcome bonus and then any additional cashback. You rack up just by using the card in order to get approved for this card. Please make sure you are still under the 524 rule and if you don't know what that is, i will have a playlist linked down below that you can check out in order to learn more or you can just watch my full credit card guide on youtube to Learn everything you need about getting started today and guys.

None of this you have to pay for it's all, just free content. I have on youtube now to touch up on the last point to get approved for the chase, freedom, flex and unlimited. I recommend you to have a score of at least 670 in order to get approved. I have seen people in the past with a score of 650 getting approved, but your miles are always going to vary now.

The next card that we have on this list is going to be one of my personal favorites, the american express gold card right here, so just to give you a little history about this card back in the day, this card needs to be made out of plastic And earns you just three mr points for flights and two points per dollars at us: restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets. Currently, the american express gold card offers 4x membership reward points back at restaurants worldwide, including take takeout and delivery 4x back at us. Supermarkets up to 25 000 per year in purchases 3x back on flights and 1x back on everything else. Most of my older subscribers may already know this, but i had applied for the car the first week.

They had released the revamp and, let me tell you the offer for the gold card now in 2021 is actually better when they first revamped it prior to this whole coven mess going on so right now the gold card offers 60 000. Mr points after you spend thousand dollars in purchases after six months of card ownership. That's right! Folks! Six months you have of spending four thousand dollars. I remember when i first applied.

It was three months of i believe three thousand dollars spent. However, you only got 25 000 mr points and some food credits, which is absolutely insane because, right now it is so much more. The american express gold card also offers you a 120 dining credit where you get 10 a month in statement credits when you pay a grub up, seamless, cheesecake factory roots chris steakhouse box and participating shake shack locations on top of that, they replaced the unpopular and, quite Frankly, annoying airline incidental fee credit that most users did not like, and they now offer you in replacement a 120 in uber cash annually or 10 per month for uber eat orders and uber rides in the u.s. That is insane so in total you're getting 240 in free food credits minus the annual fee that you pay every year of 250, effectively costing you only 10 per year to hold this card.
So, to put that in perspective, your netflix subscription costs you more money than holding the gold card after you apply the credits, however, you can't flex on some simpletons with a netflix account, but you can with your gold card, so we mentioned earlier, you can get 60 000, mr points with the current welcome bonus offer they have now. But how much is that really worth in the year of 2021, especially for any of my newbies joining the credit card game? So to answer that question, if we value mr points at one cent to one point redemption, that is an easy six hundred dollars worth of cash. I personally value mr points at one point: five to two cents per point, which means they are worth anywhere from nine hundred dollars to twelve hundred dollars back in your pocket. Now the gold card, like i mentioned, is still one of my personal favorite cards that i use every single day and looking back, they even brought back.

This rose gold card right here, so i have both cards to show you what they look like in real life, and i also have an upgraded custom, 24 carat amex gold that my buddies at lion credit card also sent over on the lion credit card. We got our facebook group name with there uh. We have about 30 000 members in our community engraved on the front side of the card. If you want to check out lion credit card i'll, have a link down below in the description with the discount code.

For my viewers, credit 20, which will give you 20 off as well in addition to that, if you don't have the gold card yet and you've been waiting to apply, i believe right now is literally the best time to apply with regards to the extended welcome bonus. Offer and the bonus buffed amount that they're giving to new applicants for the second quarter of 2021. check out the link in the description of my video under brian jung's top card picks, where you can sign up for the gold card below now. In order to get approved for this card, i recommend having a score of over 680 and ideally in the 700 range anything under that and chances are, you may get denied, but i do recommend you to at least give it a shot, because since covet and since American express's new revamp plans of trying to onboard way more consumers this year, especially to cards like the gold card and the platinum.
I know that they're making exceptions and they are accepting a lot more applicants than i ever thought would be possible. So if you have a score of say even like 650, i would not be surprised if they let you in but like always your miles may vary. The recommended credit score is still going to be 700., so the next card that we have on our list is going to be a set of cards instead of just an individual pick, and this is going to be the trifecta of the chase inc business credit cards. Now, although business card applications are still not where they used to be, the offers right now are still some of the best that we've seen in the lifetime of these cards.

Currently, the chase inc business unlimited offers 1.5 cashback, while the chase inc business cash offers five percent back in select categories and currently chase inc of business preferred earns you three percent back on shipping purchases, advertising, internet, cable phone services and travel. So currently, the chase inc business preferred is the only card that has an annual fee of 95, while the chase in cash and unlimited are free to hold. So, who are these cards going to be meant for now, if you're really about the travel game, and you want to accumulate as many points as possible, you want to consider picking up business credit cards, so the issue currently with business credit cards is that since covet Happened: they've been heavily restricting a lot of people from getting approved for the set of cards, in addition to that, they have some pretty high minimum spend requirements that not many people are going to be able to hit unless you own your own business. Now, if you are trying to get a business credit card - and you may have just started your own brand new business - but you don't really know the full ins and outs or how to get started or which credit cards to apply for in the business side.

Or you don't even know the full benefits make sure you guys go ahead and watch my full business credit card video guide on youtube. All of my golden nuggets are in there if you're, trying to level up your credit card game and get into the business side of things so going back to the chase inc business cards. If you did happen to apply for all of three of those cards and you got approved and you got the welcome bonus, you would score over 250 000 ultimate reward points, which is about five thousand dollars back in value at a valuation of two cents per point. That's a pretty good amount of cheddar, so if you want to get approved the card minimum score that you want to have is at least at least 700 in order to get accepted during this time.

So the next card on this list isn't an absolute essential for our rookies. If you have crossed the starting line as a beginner - and you already own some starter cards here and there and you haven't really tapped into the annual fees. This next card is what i recommend, and it's going to be. The chase sapphire preferred so right now the chase sapphire preferred has a normal welcome bonus of 60 000 points.
However, the updated offer for this year 2021 is 80 000 points after three months spent and an additional 50 dollars in statement credits towards grocery store purchases within the first year. So i used to hold the chase, sapphire preferred and then i decided to downgraded it after holding it for just one whole year, and let me share with you guys an example in order to make this easier to understand. So the chase sapphire to me within the credit card lineup, is kind of like a one night sander, i'm not looking to have a long-term relationship with this card simply because of the poor value it offers. But it has an intriguing welcome bonus, which makes me, i would say yeah intrigued at least sign up for the card in comparison to other reward cards on the market.

Because of the welcome bonus, the csp will cost you a 95 annual fee, while giving you 2x back on dining and restaurants and 2x back on travel now to get approved for this card. The recommended score is over 690 points and that's because they are a tier above most beginner starter cards, but not on par with the visa infinite, with minimum credit limits of over ten thousand dollars and a higher annual fee. Now, although the csp doesn't have that long term, love in this next card here does so the american express platinum card is an absolute essential to my wallet, even though i haven't been able to travel too much at all for the past year. So this card has an annual fee of 550.

However, this credits and statuses you get back make this one of the most valuable cards on the market. The amx platinum currently offers a new limited time, welcome, bonus as well and gives 75 000. Mr points plus 10x points at us gas stations and supermarkets after you spend 5k in six months six months. We must emphasize that again.

Six months is beautiful. You don't have to feel rushed in spending five thousand dollars in that period of time. So some of my favorite benefits with the platinum card is the 200 annual uber cash credit you get with this card as well as the uber vip status. You get simply just by holding this.

This means i can get free food delivery every month because of the benefit, as well as an annual 100 statement, credit to saks fifth avenue, which results in a free bottle of cologne. For me every six months, i also find tremendous value in having the marriott bon. Voy gold and hilton honors gold status by just holding this card. However, my favorite feature for the platinum would definitely be the purchase protection and the extended warranty that the card offers now the recommended credit score for this card would be over 750 in order to get approved.
If you want to learn more about the platinum or any other card, you can also check out some of the reviews. I've done on my channel before diving, deep into the specifics and expected value of what they truly offer. Now this video can honestly go on for the next. I would say 20 minutes because there are a lot of good offers right now, but i really want to emphasize to you if you're looking to apply for a card, do not forget about the hotel or airline ones as well.

The world of hyatt, the marriott envoy business, the hilton aspire, are all three incredible hotel credit cards that will make you money just by holding on to them every single year, because of that free annual certificate night. I personally have the world to hyatt. I have the platinum, the business platinum and i also have the marriott bon voy business and a variety of other travel cards in my arsenal as well, and although with kovit, it's been tough, i'm telling you, as things begin to open up within the next few years And the value of points remain to stay constant, you're, gon na love, the fact that you get a free hotel night in exchange for a small annual fee of often times 95, which the hotel outweighs. So this is just my friendly reminder to you.

In my last credit card, video we did discuss the importance of looking into these travel benefit credit cards and getting those welcome bonuses. Now, especially if you are late game that way, you can make sure that if you do plan on going to your dream, vacation bora bora whatever it is - maybe i don't know caesar's palace whatever your cup of tea is you're. Never gon na have to pay for those trips because you get them all covered for free with all the credit card points and rewards and benefits that you accumulate now before peak travel actually happens so to wrap up this video. First of all, make sure you have the proper credit score, and you know you have some future purchases lined up, so you can meet those minimum spend requirements to get those welcome bonuses, save up your points because when things open back up fully, you'll be well prepared And traveling for free because of all the hard work that you put in during the off season, like always, don't forget to check out the links down below in the description.

If you are interested in applying for any of these cards, those links offer you the best possible offer right now at the time of this recording and also support my channel, without costing you a single thing for all the people who do decide to use those links. I just want to say i appreciate you all from the bottom of my heart. Also. I have a facebook group, 30.

I'm trying but I don't really see the benefit to the Amex cards in return for their fees. Seems like you have to work at maximizing and utilize it's benefits, shouldn't have to try so hard to maximize benefits and justify the high fees.
