If you’re dealing with any of the following, take a step back and focus on paper trading. Get your mind right and keep your account intact.
First, eliminate any debt you may have. Zero debt is ideal, but get it as manageable as possible. Planning to trade full time? Know you’ll have days when you won’t make any money and some when you’ll lose money. Avoid any extra stress.
Your emotions play a big role in how you handle trades. If you’re entering the market every day full of adrenaline with a gambler’s mindset, it can cause you to make poor decisions. Get those emotions under control.
While you can start with a small trading account, you might struggle. You should still start with a reasonable amount. Tune in for Bohen’s recommendation. Save money to fund your account whenever you can.
While you’re saving, you can still learn and paper trade!
As for trading part time … You can absolutely do it. But it’s essential to make time to watch the market. Keep your expectations and timeline realistic. The market will be here. Take the time to focus, study, and put in that screen time.
Be sure to always keep your mindset in check. Trading isn’t about getting rich quick and the material things it can potentially bring you. It’s a skilled trade … And you’ve got to practice, refine, and master that skill.

Thank you for being real and not sugar coating it. I have been watching pre market prep for a few months and really like your approach to trading. I am a beginner and it helps to be grounded with the down to earth information.
I really like the comparison that trading stocks are like a skilled trade! It makes perfect sense to me, mainly because I am a Subaru master technician and to get to that level takes YEARS to achieve. I have worked with tons of young up-and-coming techs that are completely blown away at my skill set and I tell them the only way to get those skills is time, experience, and some form of training. What you put in, is what you get out of it, I see no difference in becoming a stock trader.
I guess it is my time to become a trader!

I'm making sure I'm out of debt except for the mortgage, have saved a significant emergency fund, am fully funding my Roth IRA every month, living a good, fulfilling lifestyle within my means now, and can invest money that I can "afford to lose" if worse comes to worse. That's a good place to start.
I listened and started with 100 dollars and just pay attention to percent change in my account. If I'm not broke in a year I will do a thousand. Thanks Tim can't wait to learn more from you

i love the video. I love that you keep it real. I watch pre market prep every morning its my routine. when 830am comes everything gets shut out and im all ears when it comes to listening to you. love the stedy trade team also i learn alot from you and Sykes both of you give me the energy to want to push harder not for the money because i know it will all fall into place when time is right. But to just be grate at something.
