Government prints money. Rich people borrow cheap money and overbid to buy properties and rent out or hold for value to increase. Less homes available on the market for average people to buy. Raises prices.
For America this is true but take a look to Germany … You can’t buy a hose for 200.000€ or 300.000€ you have to pay at least 500.000€.

All thanks to money printing intended to pay for risk taking and speculation in equity markets by the rich. In simple terms, tax payers are subsidizing risk-taking on bets they have no benefit from if the bets go to the upside. Privatized gains and socialized losses.
As a Hongkonger, I think house in the US is already so cheap, although our average salary is slightly higher than the US, the average apartment price is insane, some study shows that we have to work 40 years (not including expenses) just to buy a apartment.
Dont forget About gas
It's the nature of printing money… Hard assets sky rocket and they keep printing the money… And people become hard and harder to follow the inflation with current wage…
