Tom what do you think of tesla's q2 financials coming out today at the the end of the day. Well here's a six word answer for you i not give less did he just say that yes he did and it's not because he or i or whom hates tesla. I love tesla it's not because the stock is garbage because i absolutely don't think that and it's also not because i think that q2 financials are not important because they are but i think everybody's getting confused with this whole idea people are out there running around like headless chickens. Trying to get a little bit of an edge today just to scratch a few more percent by trying to time the market.
The market. The market based on what the q2 financials are going to tell you now that's nothing more than gambling. Absolutely there is no way to know what's in those financials without insider trading. Which of course.
I don't advise you actually engaged in also there's absolutely no way to know what the stock market reaction is going to be to whatever is in those financials. The finances can be great. The stock market can crash and vice versa. It's a tesla stock has a lot of retail participation.
It's very volatile trading. The stock around earnings is a bad idea you may win some a long term. It's impossible to consistently get it right that's why i'm staying the away not coming in anywhere near it now look q2 financials. They matter they met a lot it shows you where the company is headed it shows you the good stuff the bad stuff you want to see the margins the profitability.
The balance sheet. If there's problems you want to try and identify where it's coming from with this china supply chains all of that matters. But you have to take it in context. My guy.
It's one quarter out of 40 quarters in which you're supposed to be in the company. So for me test is a generational investment right. I look at this as one quarter out of 40 quarters in which i'm going to spend with the company and obviously it matters. But it matters.
1. Divided by 40 it's not the be all and all like people trying to make it to be now obviously. There's a lot of really talented people who are breaking down these financials inside out rob maurer builds beautiful models dave lee stevie mark ryan. I mean there's a lot of like guys like gary black.
I mean there's a lot of smart people who can give you that information but look at the end of the day and here's the crazy part whether they're right or wrong and usually guys like rob and gary and dave and stephen mark ryan usually they write more often than the wrong it don't matter because even if the finances are terrific. There's absolutely no way to know how the stock market is going to react. It's absolutely gambling. You have a better chance of going to a casino and getting like a 48 odds on the roulette table whatever that may be now for me.
It's a very simple binary test. Which you need to ask yourself before you invest in a stock like tesla and obviously. None of this is financial advice. I'm not a financial advisor. This is just my own personal opinion and how i look at things so here. It is binary test you either think that tesla is way too expensive at this p e ratio. Gotta help these people or you think that tesla is a generational opportunity because of its margins. Because of how it's shellacking.
The auto industry and because of what's happening in the entire auto category basically switching to eevee and this company. Having an edge. Whatever that may be both cases make sense tesla is not cheap. Obviously you're paying for a lot of future execution in tesla.
So a lot of people don't want that that's fine. I 100 agree with people who say hey for me. That's just too expensive. I don't want to pay for future success that much because it's not certain.
And it isn't nothing beyond death and taxes isn't certain the only thing. We know is we're all going to die one day. We're going to pay taxes right. Except a few companies that yeah.
I'm not gonna say which but you know. Which now here's the thing whether you know this as a certainty or not it don't matter the one thing that matters is where you are on the spectrum. If you're saying hey for me personally i'm pricing in execution. Which tesla have proven in the past to actually hit on mark.
So. If tesla is the kind of company that keeps executing and keeps doing the impossible. I'm ready to pay whatever the price may be to get in on that now because i assume that in one year and two years is going to be too expensive whether you're on that camp or you're in the camp or basically saying well tesla has a 300 stock. I don't want to buy it at 700 right now it's gonna be worth 700 in a year maybe if they execute.
This is where you should be looking at the company at the business and the company. Not at the stock. And whether you buy tesla. At.
650 700. 750. 800. It don't freaking matter.
It. Doesn't matter. Because. If you're a long term.
Investor. Tesla is either going to become a generational massive behemoth or it's not and it's going to be basically trash company. Either of these options can happen. And the fact.
That you bought. It. At. 650 700.
750. 800. Will not matter at all for your outcome. If it busts.
Then even if you bought it at 650. You basically screwed if it explodes. The fact that you bought it at 100 instead of 650 won't matter. See what i'm saying here.
If you're staying long term. Trying to find the perfect entry point. It's like trying to put a golf ball through him you know one of those little pigs and come on bro. It's absolutely pointless so that's my two sense about it i know it's not popular opinion everybody's trying to figure out what's gonna test the stock.
It is what it is be careful out there see you tomorrow.
Tom my guy, watch MEET KEVINS latest video that this latest earnings โCHANGES EVERYTHING!!โ
Because if you want to become a good investor you need to flip flop every quarter. ๐๐๐
Right on Tom. People asked me that all the time and I say I donโt give two fucks ask me in 2030. Until then I donโt even pay attention to it
Imagine being unpopular for generations that is what the market is now how unpopular youtube is now how unpopular youtube investing. Although they have hearing about us and our ventures. It's real cool.
This earnings was a guaranteed beat and it was so obvious. The next one will be the hard one to match.
Very true.. thanks for the reminder
Hear this, if it dips, if it drops below $650, I hope you have some cash, because that is going to be the last chance it'll be that cheap barring external factors. Prepare for liftoff!
Wait wait unless youโre Nancy Pelosi insider trading is OK
Good call! Who has time to watch any of the live streams of the Tesla financials. Just give me the Cliff Notes when it's over.
Long term investment = long distance runner = staying power.
I'm in it over the next 20-30 years. I'll get some profits here and there after 15-20 years but for now, I'm going to buy on red if I have the fund.
Tom, if it is at a good price buy it. Right?
Good video. I am a long term investor and don't give a crap what the market thinks. Tesla is a great company and in the long term Tesla will be a big winner.
tom I lose so much on your bullish pltr ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ
There is more than 1 stock in the market guys. If you cannot find another stock to be convicted for itโs because you decided not to do your homework.
Chicken genius said TSLA will crash after Q2 earnings. What a donkey lol
Tsla is my main hope for a retirement full of travel and fun, fun, fun. 350 shares retiring in 4 years.
The wisest thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in Gold, Silver and currencies (BTC)
This is my 13th quarter! Doubt I'll ride it out for 40 quarters but it's been a fun ride and I'm not jumping off yet
Like your channel but wished you would stop cursing. I always play your videos out loud with my kids around then have to turn it off.
Iโm not buying this stock right now I think I can get a cheaper in the future
PRICE MATTERS
Elon you a an unstable genius
His move to buy Twitter then end up in court has had a negative impact on Tesla shares
$380 billion wiped off the shares
Jeeesh we get it, youโre a loooooong term investor- quit giving that same lecture and get straight to the facts about the company news next time
