Citadel recently received a $22m fine for not providing customers with the best price when routing trades, $22m seems like a lot, but lets break down how profitable that could be for citadel.
Citadel either route a customer trade directly into the market or take the other side of the trade at 'the best price'. However, if citadel don't offer the best price, even by 1c, thats 1c profit for citadel.
Citadel route half of Robinhoods orders, with a $350bn annual transaction volume, an average trade size of Β£250 thats 700m transactions that citadel route for Robinhood. Even a 1c profit per transaction is still $7m annual profit.
If Citadel were filling orders 5c worse than the 'best price', thats $35m in annual profits or ill gotten gains. This practice could have been going undiscovered for a number of years as well, just think about that.
So in reality, a $22m fine is small fry compared to the potential $00's of millions of profits that Citadel could have received!

I don't invest and have only watched occasionally from a distance. Watching this video is kinda sickening. They need to be paying back all they stole PLUS a large penalty. How can criminal activity occur and all they're expected to do is repay part of the thievery? The last part about spoofing should clearly be illegal and should incur very high penalties. I'm shocked these things happen. Where's the "free market" that works? Don't they say it will self-regulate? Something is terribly terribly wrong.

Tomorrow Monday i'm almost certain 100% is gonna be a big green day. Just do your research, I been following AMC since November. Every time an anticipated movie came out this year starting with Godzilla v Kong, then Mortal Kombat then A Quiet Place 2, that following Monday the stock was up at least 15%. Take into account that those movies were also available via streaming the same day and AMC still had a theater capacity limit due to Covid-19. On the other hand, this weekend F9 came out and its in in theaters only and the whole country has lifted the covid-19 restriction meaning AMC can fill the theaters at maximum capacity. Those two factors might just be the formula to cause AMC to hit $100 and possibly trigger a squeeze. I hope you got in position Friday because that was a nice dip.
Hard to argue against a whiteboard and some simple math. Iβm glad there appears to be an awaking coupled with great exposure of how our stock market works. Iβm 42 and have only just began to invest. Iβve realized it has become one of my biggest regrets was putting money in the bank in my 20βs and 30βs. My money had so much potential.
Hopefully are government puts a stop to them.

Bitcoin moving up is inevitable and would see the price of bitcoin surpass it's all-time highs. The reversal was imminent because obviously, the bitcoin market needed a correction to gather the right momentum to give the bulls more steam and this just makes it the perfect time to invest and accumulate as much as possible.
