How much money do day Traders make? So you guys aren't going to like the answer to this question. Here's the problem. This is what I've noticed over all my years as a Trader It is the people who need the money the least who make it the most. It's almost as if the more you need the money to pay your bills, the harder it is to earn and it's so unfair.
That's how I felt when I was getting started because I was one of those guys that I didn't have other sources of income. it was just trading and if I didn't make my 200 a day, I wouldn't make enough money to pay my bills for that month. So what did that create Create a lot of pressure. And then when I had red days, it created desperation to make back the loss immediately I wasn't able to just sit in the red and be like oh, it's no big deal I'll make this back later in the week I became desperate.
traders who don't need the money, are able to just genuinely focus on the best quality trades and that makes them more profitable.
I day trade the 3x ETFs.
I wait for a deep down and then buy longs.
I wait for big highs and then buy shorts.
10 and 20 cent moves.
10 to 15 cent limit loss.
The profits are for supplement so my emotions are minimal to zero.
Simple system but it works.

Psychology is "The" best way to make it to trading in my opinion
That’s why Demo accounts is your best friend!
That it so true so just have a ordinarily job and trade at the side so that the pressure are less.
Basically the amount of money a day trader makes is unlimited. If you have the skill, you decide how much you can make. Emphasis on "Can" because chances are you'll never hit your target. Just know it's a lot of money when done right. Disgusting amounts of the stuff.

I am going to say the "silent part out loud". It depends on how much money you have to trade with. Certainly, quality setups are of prime importance, but, the guy with a 5k account using the same technique as the guy with a 50k account, will make much less.
I normally trade in lots of 1000 shares for most of my trades. If that stock goes up a single dime, I have made a hundred dollars. Most of the big-boy stocks (like NVDA) I can't buy that many shares, so those expensive stocks require a catalyst for me to see significant profits from a small number of shares (like the $65 a share jump after their earnings report).
A newbie would have a safer path if they ONLY bought stocks with a major positive news item (known as a catalyst). They would be trading less often, but the odds of it being a loser would be greatly diminished.
That's the furthers thing from unfair. That's called BASIC PSYCHOLOGY.

I remember quitting my job in 2016 to trade full time. I had about 25k in capital to trade with and the red days were just too much, when I didn't have the capital to take bigger positions with less movement in a stock for that 200/day consistently.
That's actually true but wasn't for me even tho i needed the money
I'm a funded trader now and make 20 years worth of income in two days session easily, how is that i live in a third world country where salaries are so low i can literally live on 5 dollars a day with paying rent but it's not not the best life i want or anyone here wants cuz sometimes you wanna have fun and you can't because you don't have money so for me it was easy once i made a months salary in one single trade then had the motivation to become a funded trader now
Now that he is relaxed he is more able to take money from some other desperate trader. In trading, no one gets money without someone else losing it.
Trade your system and the rest falls into place
