So when I'm in a trade, how do I know when to sell? I don't want to sell too soon, only to watch it go up without me. but I don't want to hold too long, only for it to drop back down. So one of the things that I'm using is the actual shape of the Candlestick to help guide me of when to sell. So when I see big longbody candles like this, there is no reason to sell I am going to keep holding.
But as soon as I see a candle like this, this at the top, that's a dogee candle. That is an indicator of a possible reversal. The reason it's indicating that is because the stock opened, it dipped down, it pushed higher, and then it closed sideways. So it's communicating that inside this candle, a tug-of-war is beginning.
And when a tug-of-war is beginning after a stock has already made a big move, there's a really high likelihood that a reversal is coming soon.

I keep an eye on the pattern and candles, am I near whole dollar half dollar or resistance. I'd rather take some profit and be happy with with a single or double then get caught by the dreaded giant red candle. Don't be greedy.
Also the ticker you passed on the yesterday or day before AEHR… Look at the pattern history, loaded with bag holders, that would have been a good teaching moment!
What time frame are you basing these candles on?
Dojos also can be a continuation sign
