  1. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Captain Snyder says:

Would it make a difference to you if your service provider slowed down bandwidth on Stock trading sites whenever your neighbors are watching Netflix? Does your business model rely on being able to get your information in real time and being able to make trades quickly? If not then it probably won't effect you. People don't realize Net Neutrality actually protected the free market of the internet by allowing the consumer to decide for themselves which websites they want to do business with. Ending Net Neutrality takes the choice out of the consumers hands. The "free market" is only free when the consumer decides who they do business with.

It's not like content providers like Ricky depend on people having reasonable access to sites like Youtube. Right? LOL Anyone who produces content and hopes to generate an income based on views might want to stop for a second and think about what it would mean for their channel if certain ISPs intentionally slow down access to Youtube. It may not seem like a big deal now but when the repeal goes into effect and all of the subscribers that don't feel like paying extra for their ISPs "youtube plan" no longer see their videos they might notice. Youtube is a great way to kill time but I'm not going to pay extra for it, I would bet I'm not the only one.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MoneyManFernando says:

Internet providers are like monopolies. Where I live we have one cable company that provides internet and then we have Century Link DSL but only available in some parts of town.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dr bolo says:

I have to say this is ridiculous, the way you say you’ll just switch providers makes it sound likes it’s easy and quick. I know you work online on many different websites, maybe once you have to run 3 providers to receive fast access and pay the premium then your viewpoint will change.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Josh Berger says:

Hey Ricky pretty good video! A few things you got wrong, first of all, Google is not directly affected by ISPS and neither is facebook they actually drive the majority of internet traffic. What people aren't talking about is who is supporting the Repeal and that is small businesses. Basically what net neutrality is doing is making ISPS more competitive Just like mobile phone plans. Look at how cheap those have become! Also there has only been two major instances of throttling and the consumer backlash was huge. NOTHING will happen for people in larger cities but just like in the 2016 elections middle America has been neglected. There are many places in America that have slow speeds and only one option and the ISPS are raising the prices because they have no competition. A prime example of this is the cable-ONE which is a public company if you want to do DD. The most important part of this is the FCC had to approve of all ISPS actions if they wanted to create new infrastructure. Government is not very efficient and now with the deregulation we can see a lot more innovation and competition with ISPS. Good video though!

    Just wow

You got a dislike for this one. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion however do some more research man. Net neutrality made the internet exist as a utility. The key word here is "utility". There's a reason why water, gas & electric are not left up to the market. Theres no way new companies can enter and compete. These ISP's have already monopolized the market there will be absolutely zero new guys stepping up to "compete". In my area I only have a choice between AT&T & Cox. Lemme tell you rn I wouldnt choose either I get horrible customer service & horrible connection as is. Do they do anything about it… nope cause I'd just keep running back & forth between them paying out of my ass for cancellation fees. Tell me how come Ajit Pai used to work for Verizon? Nothing seem fishy there?

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory Long says:

The problem is, there is usually only 1 (maybe 2) providers in most areas. They are basically creating a communications monopoly.

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars KodionFire says:

There are not many competitors in local markets and forget apartments. You are stuck with the same 1,2 or 3 providers with their own interests. You want to shop around to find the company that wont throttle or restrict the things you want but maybe some you do want in some combination? That's crazy. Equal access. You cant just start an internet company and lay down the cables and hook up internet to homes lol…

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Out Of Pocket says:

Hey Ricky great video but i disagree with everything you are saying, without net neutrality the ISP will block any competitor websites, and the thing you mentioned about Netflix did actually happen Netflix had to pay ISP more money so they would stop throlling them, that's why the subscription price went up as well.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kale Mercer says:

You are aware that most people cant Just go out and get a new ISP? Where I live there are only two providers AT&T And Comcast, and in most cases, AT&T isn't available. there are areas in the state I live in where there is no broadband option.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daky1001 says:

This is Sahil from the group. I appreciate you covering this topic. Thanks Ricky!

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zach Sowers says:

The problem is some area's don't have a ton of options for internet providers. I am stuck in a Comcast only zone.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars WalthamVlOGs says:

Thanks for speaking out. But, we will find a way around it.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Reyes says:

Lots of people are being censored because of net neutrality on you tube (Paul Joseph Watson)Twitter (Roger Stone) and lots of people on Facebook. Please do your research

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars FOREVER GRIND CRYPTO says:

The larger company such as Comcast have close to a monopoly on internet service in most areas if u dont have them as a business owner the u cant even operate you business it is simply no other choice.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Reyes says:

Ricky, when you get political there’s consequences, and you getting political. Love you brother, but you walking on a road that won’t benefit you. Please do your research

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Reyes says:

    Please do more research

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Reyes says:

Ricky, thank you so much, you have done so much for me, but on this I totally disagree with you. You need to do more research on this one because I think you need more information on this. You have no clue on this and please do more research. What net neutrality does is not good for your business. Please do more research on this. You have make me so much $$$ that I think your Wrong on this one.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Blank says:

this man is not worried because he can afford what ever happens lol

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JessicaComedy says:

They can already throttle. They did. It's called demonitization without explanation. It won't allow them to, they already do, means they have to transparent when they do it. The internet will Be the same it was 2 years ago. We don't need socialized internet

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Wilson says:

So I need like 3 or 4 internet providers then. for each site I want to go to.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Harry Porter says:

Thank you very much for taking the time to do this vid

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars AleRicoSuave says:

The problem with your logic is that internet companies have spent years and millions of dollars laying down the framework, such as cables and so on that cannot be used by another company. Some cities even have contracts that only allow one provider to provide service to the people living in the area. So people don’t have options. Google tried to install google fiber in my area, but they ended up giving up due to Charter fighting back and having their fingers around our local politicians. These ISP companies are straight up monopolies in an extremely high barrier to entry industry. They know this and that’s why they were so excited about these new rules. They have no competition.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Fx says:

You can call it Internet Speed Monopoly…today they want control over the speed and there will be regulations and/or laws issues to it, tomorrow will be the content that you’re allowed to access or not…is all about CONTROL and power!
Other way to see it is, who could bring the best speed experience over all, but then again, this will be limited to those internet companies that are been taxed higher to bring those best speed services overall and on and on, and the speed/freedom you see today will be missed tomorrow…it’s a pattern that repeats itself again and again, if there were a stock/ticker for this pattern in the stock market, we could be Millionaires by now!😃
    Very very interesting subject Ricky!!!
