Palantir co-founder and CEO Alex Karp interviewed on CNBC earlier this morning. Karp spoke about PLTR, macroeconomics and the Russia Ukraine conflict. In this video I will be reacting LIVE to this interview - so this would be my raw initial reaction without any editing or preparation.

That guys a fruit loop.
They are not winning
Definitely an o.g.
The dogs on the street already no this. Don't make you clever.
This was my bread and butter I understood him what Karp was saying when you didn't want him talk. it's nice to see him dumb it down. I just come off like he used to.
Great interview Alex Karp nice to see some personality
Old World politics are impossible for Westerners to understand. Xi in China is the exact way as well. They have been known to purge/disappear/kill rivals when they are forced to "retire". Ukraine looks pretty despite being exactly the same because they are the proxy ground against Russians.
The end goal to stop Russia for good is to just purge everyone there, otherwise you will just get Putin again.
CNBC allows Swearing? Crazy!
hard to watch someone with a "i don't brush my hair" style.
tom he has said several times that software cannot succeed without courage, heorism and a willingness to fight to the death. I am in the military, he IS giving ukraine credit, paying them the highest respect he could pay a military service member.
Best show ever and scary insights from all and as history major I believe we all need to pray to not have nukes fly.
Karp is a little crazy for most people, however he is so spot on and as someone grew up not having anything and witnessed many real world problems beside the free banana in the cafeteria isn't organic. He is NOT perfect but I REALLY like his leadership and direction.
O.G. Right here
A little self-deprecating humor can make a guy relatable! I like his frank speak! Great vid, Tom! Thanks!
It feels more like Karp finally fired his coach and decided to be himself. He's such a brilliant guy
Knew a while back Alex was politically savvy, based on focus, direction and how he described those. Absolutely agree this was an exemplary interview. Someone clearly advised that a wild haired guy in poorly fitting T-shirts didn't inspire confidence. More to the point, somehow a previously scattered genius managed to find a manner in which to convey cohesive and apprehensible meta-concepts. The improvement in communication skills borders an order of magnitude.
Great!
I wouldn’t say Peter Teal is far right, just not left.
He's relaxed because they gave him the questions ahead of time.
This is the best interview Karp has ever done!
He makes me want buy again. I'll wait
It is gone, we lived through the zenith of our time. The corrupt government will take down this country like what happened to Rome. My condolence for anyone approaching retirement you may have concerns over whether your pension pot will stretch to cover the rising costs of living. Bad energy policy, bad foreign policy, bad regulatory policy , and insane fiscal policy
Alex Karl has clearly been having sessions with Wendy from Billions lol
Very Robert Downey Jr circa Iron Man 3 kind of vibe. Confident yet comedic, self-effacing, very loose, very "on", rapid cadence of speech while never sounding breathless or rushed or hyper. Hopefully, what's changed is, this could be the unflappable high-RPM zen of a man who has finally become sufficiently convinced that his broad thesis was right after all, and nothing else matters now because they have tons of capital; they're doing the thing. The world will catch on; how long they take is more their problem now.
I give him a pass on the software thing; it didn't feel like he was really referring to Palantir SW in particular. I saw it as a reference to the volunteer global OSINT hivemind stuff, not dissimilar to a higher-stakes iteration of ye olde 4chan capture the flag efforts; and, lots of creative use of COTS / OTC tech like drones and 3d printers and Raspberry Pi hi-tech macguyverings. All reliant and enabled by all the mostly SV software giants and startups we just use without really thinking about it. I guess minus half a point for not preempting the potential interpretation you had tho.
Just put in a sell for 5 more cash secured puts to add to the 400 shares we are sitting on.
Knowing how corporate media works, I think this was probably a payback to Palantir for a sponsorship or services rendered. In other words, it was a public relations ad disguised as a story (and a very good one at that).
Best observation yet… "Putin can't lose"… I'm not saying he can't be beating but in his world he cannot lose. There will be no compromise, no peace talks where Ukraine will come out on top, there will be no cease fire and no armacist. Putin simply will not give up no matter what the cost to this country or his people and that is terrifying…
Great point Tom, Karp is finally acting rational, making sense and being persuasive. When he had the white T, it didn't matter what he said, how he said it was weak.
Fantastic!
Yea he did good!
My IQ went up 10 points after this video
i love that Karp too Tom. i added more Palantir today
That was great punchline
