It almost seems as if Ford, Toyota, GM, and many other traditional car companies aren't taking electric vehicles seriously. As of now, there remains only one company that has a chance of surviving the electric vehicle transition: Volkswagen. In this video, I discuss why Volkswagen is taking EVs seriously and what makes them the only special out of the other traditional car manufacturers.

We can all accept the fact that the Eevee transition is happening right now. Many companies such as Toyota, General Motors, mercedes-benz and Ford, have refused to accept this change in their business model. However, there is one company that recognizes the Eevee transition and is doing everything in his power to catch up the Tesla Volkswagen, unlike Tesla, which is a company that sells off of one brand. Volkswagen owns a multitude of friends, including Volkswagen, Audi Porsche, Bugatti, Bentley member Guinea and many more.

The key with these brands is that Volkswagens vehicles have a high profit margin, allowing the company to generate a significant amount of profit. Unlike the other traditional car manufacturers, Volkswagen has a relatively new CEO, who is more than prepared to change the way Volkswagen is run herbert DS, who became the CEO of Volkswagen on April 3rd 2018 instantly realized the disaster. Volkswagen was in and proceeded to go all-in on. Electric vehicles check out what he said in his interview with Bloomberg, and we know we did a lot to prepare.

We invested heavily to adopt to the new after NAFTA regulation in the United States investing heavily, which has had groundbreaking in our plant in Chattanooga to develop capacities. We soon will put all the machinery there to ramp up production for a new evey electric vehicle for the United States, we're investing in battery capacity in the state so we're doing what we can to avoid tariffs. We have to make sure that our electric vehicles make their way. We are well-prepared so and we optimistic we come with a lot of new product, so we basically optimistic, but it will be a very demanding year for their industry.

Mr. D is a very, very interesting time for the auto industry. We take a look at Tesla's market values, surging past Volkswagen. I mean how do you explain why investors are putting money in a company like Tesla which is not making money yet a compact to a company like Volkswagen? I mean spending cash you're, making money yeah.

You know the the market evaluation tells you something about the future. No future expectations, then Tesla is having a product which basically describes the future of the auto industry, now fully connected electric car and so into there's a lot of evaluation about the future car and I think Tesla is paving the way there. It's it's modeling, something new for the industry. I think we are close to follow yeah, and so we are quite optimistic that we still can keep the pace with Tesla and also at some stage, probably overtake the difference between Herbert DS and other traditional CEOs.

Is that Herbert, isn't afraid to admit a Tesla is ahead of Volkswagen, while Tesla is still maintaining a significantly large lead ahead of volkswagen. The volkswagen has had a steady profit margin. Keyword had as the global pandemic that I can't name on YouTube will demolish their sales. In the short term, this steady income has allowed her birdies to spend a massive fortune on electric vehicles.
In fact, Volkswagen has a 40 billion dollar evie spending program, far higher than not only GM, Ford and Toyota, but also Tesla, and while Volkswagen still isn't at a level near Tesla. It is important to understand that competition is healthy for Tesla competition keeps Elon Musk and Tesla's team working at a fast and efficient pace. At this point, you're probably wondering how exactly is Volkswagen planning to allocate their forty billion dollars, similar to Tesla Volkswagen plans to build its own version of the Tesla Giga factory all over the world? The automaker recently converted its Germany plant zuikou into an electric plant. That was solely produced of Volkswagen id3, along with a three car factory.

Volkswagen also plans to convert is Dresden, Germany, factory to Chinese factories and one u.s. factory in Tennessee and two factories manufacturing purely electric vehicles. If Volkswagen is able to deliver with this new ID 3 exclusive to Europe, the vehicle could become a as for the company. The id3 is expected to come out in three versions with ranges of 205 261 and 341.

However, many people have skeptical of these ranges when they hear that the battery pack sizes are forty-five. Fifty eight and seventy seven kilowatt hours respectively. Pricing for the id3 will start at just thirty thousand euros with the quick conversion is around thirty three thousand US dollars. However, one aspect Volkswagen seems to be missing out on is the fact that these cars require plenty of software.

The ID threes release has been heavily delayed due to software issues. The Volkswagen spokesperson responded to these issues by stating that things are not going great. Volkswagen insiders also noted that their software issues is no longer a laughing matter. Another evie that Volkswagen plans to release in late 2020 or early 2020, one is the Volkswagen ID 4, also known as the ID cross.

The ID 4 will come in three different versions: coming at three different prices: thirty-five thousand forty thousand and forty five thousand dollars. The top range of this vehicle supposedly goes up to 310 miles, along with the ID for Volkswagen, also has plenty of other EVs that are supposed to come out in the far future, including the ID rooms, SUV and the ID buzz whether Volkswagen is able to deliver On this, promising vehicle still remains as a question, but they remain as the only company that has a chance of making it out of the evie transition. Volkswagen have now updated their EV allocation to $86 Billion. Porche Taycan, Audi E-Tron GT, Audi Q4 E-Tron, VW ID3, VW ID4 are all on the road already

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars JPRamon68 says:

Volkswagen, you’ll never OVERTAKE Tesla. Tesla will always be #1 in the EV market and SHAME ON VOLKSWAGEN for even saying that remake and for that remark I’ll never buy a VW product.. TESLA ALL THE WAY!!!

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J O says:

I work for VW as a tech and we went from EV cars by the next 10years to now EV cars within 3 years, im gonna start buying stocks because those EV are on the way, only problem is the milage u get per charge is too low.

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bavarian Car Enthusiast says:

Its from April – still a very good review – thank you! Love Tesla, EV´s and also VW

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gowtham V says:

The VW MEB platform is the best competitor for TESLA in mass production. With MEB mass manufacturing the cost will come down significantly. VW is going all electric and they are working on producing their own battery cells just like TESLA.

I am a beginner. And love Volkswagen, but if VW owns Audi; how come does Audi have his own stock?

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Christoph Backhaus says:

I am a German and a VW Driver. I hope they fail. They directly are responsible for thousands and thousands of deaths. The people who work there will find better jobs no problem.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephan Weinberger says:

Also worth mentioning: the VW group is already producing electric vehicles and has been for years: the e-Golf (which actually works quite well for being built on an ICE platform), and the e-UP (=Skoda Citygo = Seat Mii). The ID platform will also be heavily used throughout the group (e.g. the upcoming Skoda Enyaq will be based on the ID.3 frame).

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ken Hogg says:

If Tesla comes out with a car under 30,000.00 that will change everything……the Chinese are suppose to be coming out with cars that get 600 miles per charge…..time will tell but less expensive cars will help get people into EV’s

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ken Plant says:

What about all of the Chinese EV makers? Also Rivian? I think all of them are only a couple of years behind Tesla, including self driving. Tesla will obviously continue to innovate and improve, but there are definitely other serious competitors out there. All that being said, from an investor perspective, Tesla only needs a small share of the market to succeed.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Davout says:

The term "they are not making money yet" has become a or the only thing that people have against Tesla. The facts tho are very different. Tesla is making money and they are making a lot of money. People are investing billions into the companies and the banks are begging Tesla to take more loans because they all know that in the end the results will be all in their favor. Tesla is constantly innovating building new plants chargers etc. Tesla will be Apple of the EVs. Can you imagine the success of Tesla is they become Apple? As it is right now Apple owns between 60-80% of all profits made in the entire smartphone industry.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Physics helper says:

VW is trying to produce what Tesla does not have – Compact car and mini van. Hope Tesla will make a mini van and compact car to compete with VW buzz and ie3

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Javier Miranda says:

I mostly agree with your statement, the investment VW has done is enormous, but you are forgetting the Chinese brands and also the Chevy Bolt, an electric vehicle that may not have all the bells and whistles of the Teslas but that actually delivers. Best of lucks, congratulations for your Channel!

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Santiago Gonzalez Gosalbo says:

My favourites EV brands:(un Order of love😍):
    Vw
    Ford
    Tesla

Owned many VW Diesels, loved every one of them, really like where their headed, looking forward to trying one one 🤓

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steven Yang says:

The interview you pulled out was from 2018. Two years since then they have yet to do anything substantial. I'm glad VW is on the right track but it's disheartening to see them getting nowhere.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ramon Benito says:

Volkswagen should partner with Tesla to hasten the mass conversion to EV. They have a huge pie to share between them. Their growth will be in double digit for the next 15-20 years at least.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matthew Boyd says:

When you convert those ranges to the EPA it's about 75% of what the European standard is.

But having those ranges as options I think makes them a good competitor, considering Tesla only has two range options.

I'm looking forward to seeing the competition between these two.

I'm still planning on buying a Tesla though.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars domain magic says:

Volkswagen I'm sure has tons of descents of nazi family. SHORT

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars M Doc says:

Great video. The problem is that the cars that VW are planning look to me are far too boring looking. I am still waiting for a "sexier Model S" to come out before buying one. The model 3 even the performance version is not sleek enough for me to consider buying one. I have driven one and was very pleased with its performance, but still would not buy one. I like the CEO of VW. Seems like a nice guy! Ya?

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars UFO TRAILERS says:

Boycott VW they have poison ☠️ many 1000’s and Was held criminally responsible for environmental pollution fraud!

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Cichoke says:

Your first statement is false, making the rest of the video questionable. This 'inevitable transition' has happened within the same well-heeled lefty crowd that's been hawking these things for the last few decades. It is not being lauded or bought into by the masses.

    Sorry, but that's the reality.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pat McDaniel says:

VW needs a CEO like that to survive. Many others will not make the transition in time. GM and Ford are going so slow, they may not make it.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Will says:

I think Hyundai/Kia and Volvo are still in the race. and I'd put my money on the Koreans, before Volvo, as they have more money to invest in this. From what I can see, there biggest problem, right now, is a shortage of batteries, but I'm betting they will overcome that in a relatively short time.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve Syphax says:

I hope they do a better job on their electric vehicles then they've done on cars like the beetles my neighbor has. Every thing has a black box on it so if you have a problem you have to take it to a dealer. Every time I talk to them it's broke down.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars VVS Jules says:

I like VW owner, he is so humble and honest! He should go work for Tesla LOL!
