– risk management.
– don’t trade emotionally.
– if you can make money, you need to learn how to keep the money
– invest in education
– buy some, lose, make some, lose until you find consistency. To do this, 1) focus on 1 thing. 2) cut losers extremely quickly. At the beginning, you can’t be lenient with trades and wait to see what happens. Once, it starts going against you, cut. You need to build yourself up very consistently. Don’t let equity curve dip too much because otherwise it’ll just be up and down. While you’re building yourself up, you need to keep a lot of confidence. You keep confidence by not having huge drawdowns. And keep mental state healthy by staying close to the highs.
– use other people as inspiration. Matt also went 3 years, gaining and then giving back half. Discipline.
– we burned the ship when we got into trading. Feel sick to stomach if have to do something else. This game isn’t really that hard, very simple concepts. It’s about repetition and amount of brain power you put into it every single day. Constantly think about what you did, the movements of the stocks. How everything played out. How you can capitalise on it.
– remember the charts from witnessing so many and then dream about them lol
– Check in premarket if any multiday run stock is gapping up: in a multiday run, when a stock gaps up, anyone in the stock short are in trouble so the stock, if it dips to yesterday’s high should shoot back up. buy in dip
– key to going long is knowing when shorts are fked.
– jack was expecting down halts and destruction so when it was gapping up, and it held support previous day and closed really well, it’s good price action.
– to know how certain stocks dip, move is by looking at level 2 and tape. Especially otc panic dipbuys, stopping turns. Seeing how strong a stock is. Kyle almost likes seeing level 2 more than a chart when it comes to otc. Not so much Nasdaq because Nasdaq can be pretty choppy and wild in tape. Flow of prices is what you want to see
– one of best buy signals is seeing huge bidders on level 2. Best way to learn level 2 is record screen on current trades and go back and review it.
– level 2, if it’s not a key level, it’s more or less meaningless in Nasdaq. Use level 2 on Nasdaq near breakouts
– level 2 to spot correct entries and exits and see what’s going on. A lot of it has to do with he velocity of the tape. Where it’s speeding up, where it’s slowing down. If a ton of volume is going through and it’s not moving at all, usually a big reversal is coming in Nasdaq and otc.
– tape is more important than volume for jack. Need a 4x zoom into the stock, not a pistol
– knowledge emotional. Don’t suppress. Calling out emotion, removes the power they have over you.
– it’s like a video game to jack now, he doesn’t need to care about the money anymore.
