My very first renovation was very stressful. But I have learnt a lot. Renovation cost me about 25k for a two bed house. The labour cost was massive and the bathroom very expensive. Cheap does not work honestly but definitely do your due diligence when it comes to builders. Yes fixing small problems from the get go is very important. Very good tips
Can you do a screenscast style video where you show people what to look for on Rightmove when looking for good deals?
Worst mistake I made was letting a builder take care of the tiling. Tiling on to plasterboard or plywood in wet areas is a bad idea it will fail. Now I make sure they use Marmox boards and fully seal them. It’s easier to work with than plasterboard and not much more expensive.
One tip I would give, paint everything white. There’s no time consuming cutting in to do between the walls and ceiling. Use a paint sprayer and get whole rooms done in just a few hours.
How many of these are from your personal experience?😂 I like the anecdote, explains it way better. You live and learn ay
Great vid mate. Under budgeting can be such an easy thing to do. A good contingency is always wise!
80k for a kitchen does your father want a new apprentice lol
Great video mate, definitely agree that neutral colour schemes are important, so many people are put off simply by the colour of the walls.
Some great advice! Wouldn’t mind a look at ur dads kitchen lol
Great info thanks
What do you think are the WORST renovation mistakes?
