So, unlike the disadvantages of the stock market, where we've experienced some extreme volatility through exaggerated responses of a highly sensitive market, the cryptocurrency scene has been relatively stable in the past few months, with much more room to grow. The beauty and fun of being a retail investor is having the freedom to choose what you want to invest in, as well as all the benefits that cryptocurrency brings. In addition to that, cryptocurrency is very liquid, and no we're not talking about that type of liquid liquid.

As in cryptocurrencies operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, meaning you can buy, sell or trade your assets at any time. This is going to be all about the king of all cryptos, and that is bitcoin. So why is bitcoin essential to every investor's portfolio? Is it not overrated? Is it not too late? So arguably many people actually believe that ethereum has a much higher possibility of going to the moon than bitcoin does in its current state, and this is because, unlike bitcoin, ethereum actually has a much more different goal. So the easiest way to compare this is by thinking that bitcoin is the digital gold and ethereum is like electricity without diving, too deep into the fundamentals. Just know that ethereum's platform has the infrastructure to revolutionize finance and technology through its open source, computing platform and operating system.

The reason why investors argue ethereum has a higher chance of giving more profitable returns is because the endless amount of use case scenarios that this crypto has look in simple terms. You can only do so much with bitcoin, while ethereum lays out the canvas and the paintbrush for people like us to build and create some amazing technology. I actually have that on my bucket list goal. I want to open a gym one day, have all my friends here and start something in the dmv area. I think that would be amazing if i opened a brand new gym.

I would want this to have 24 7 access and i would find some type of technology. Maybe a wi-fi enabled smart lock on the door. So anytime a member comes, and maybe it's one or two am they want to get a workout in. In order for me to verify that they're a gym member paying their monthly dues, i can create a smart contract where, if they scan their membership card, the smart lock, which is enabled by wi-fi, will get a smart trigger from a contract right.

So if someone decides not to pay the membership fee, that lock may not open up, but if someone does they're always doing it on a monthly time, they continue to have full access to the gym. This is just a very easy real-life use case of what smart contracts are. You can apply this to many different industries out here and smart contracts are absolutely amazing and i believe, that's going to be the future of where this world is headed. So what does this have to do with chain link well chain link offers the link to existing infrastructures to that smart contract, or in this case that lock, i can't just set up that lock and assume that whenever someone swipes their membership card, it's gon na work Automatically there needs to be something in place that connects both of them.

That is what chain link is all about, so currently chain link is at 27 at the time of this recording and has increased to 1 289 in the past one year. So the fourth cryptocurrency on this list is ecome. I'm also going to call this just omi. I hope i'm getting that right.

That's just what i've been calling it this entire time, so omi actually has two use cases. First is the utility token of the vv nft ecosystem. Vv is a brand new nft ecosystem. I've actually been using the app you guys can go ahead and download it.

The next coin that we're going to talk about is harmony one and recently this had a run up of 200 this past week, and it might be a cryptocurrency that you've been seeing on stock twits, like i have many times so, unlike most cryptocurrencies, where they're built Off another network, harmony was actually built from the ground up and addresses the issues of scalability security, decentralization and privacy by using sharding to optimize all of this and keep in mind guys.

I hope the algorithm does not like closed caption me the wrong way. I'm saying sharding with a d, not sharding, with a t. Okay, so i i don't know why they, you know, decided to call this sharding there. There were so many other words that i feel like the developers could have used.

So sharding is essentially the organization of blockchain structures, transactions and validators to get a boost in performance at its core. The harmony project focuses on solving the blockchain scalability issues of speed by creating fast and open network of nodes, operated and governed by a large community through sharding and other various methods. So the future of harmony is bright, as they have a ton of new partnerships and collaborations coming up this year. I don't know if y'all ever watch clear value attacks, but that man used to talk about travala, so this is actually incorporated with that too harmony.
