Credit cards with a high credit score such as £10,000+ can be very tempting to splurge on something that you cant afford. This can get you in a sticky situation that is very difficult to dig yourself out of the debt.

How do you know when you have to pay off the credit card by? Is a date given that it needs to be payed by?
I turned 18 in may and I’m a student. I’ve been trying to apply for credit cards and credit buildings cards for the past few months but I seem to be getting rejected constantly. When I do an eligibility check, it says that I have a 0% chance of being approved to a lot of the credit card companies that videos like these recommended for people with no/bad credit. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong😅 I can’t put my phone contract on my name because when they do a credit check, it says that I am not eligible, therefore my phone contract is still on my mums name. Does anyone have any tips that can help me get out of this repetitive cycle?

I don't understand the UK system for people to qualify for a credit card. It's very strange. I'm from Brazil and I live in the UK. I don't even work in Brazil and I have a £3000 credit there (converting to pounds), with loads of benefits. The more I spend there, the more credit they give me (if I pay on time, of course). Then I come here, to a developed country and I try everything to get a credit card with a minimum credit but it seems to be impossible. For example, you just told about Barclay's one… I just tried to check if I was eligible and of course I'm not for them. I save money regularly every single month and I have a full-time job. If this is supposed to be an entry credit card, I guess I'll never be eligible to get one here!
Hi there, just watched this video and was informative for beginners which is great 👍🏽. One thing to note is the HSBC Student Credit card has a fixed credit limit of £500 and cannot be increased and does not earn cash back as you commented about. Otherwise, great video 👍🏽
